Two 'hit and runs' in three days!! wtf!

Are peoples morals going down just as fast as their driving/parking skills?

Monday at uni my car was scraped slightly... not bad, but enough to get me pretty pissed off, especially that whoever it was didnt even leave a note to at least say sorry!!! so i got over it...

then on Wednesday I was parked in the city, 5 minutes after i had left my car (so i wasnt anywhere near it) a taxi hit it!! Anyway, the taxi drove after after apparently checking HIS damage. Luckily there was a witness who was kind and decent enough to take time out of their day to actually do something nice and get the cabs number plate and leave a note on my car for me

anyway, the cab driver called me (after we swapped details through the police) and he has the nerve to tell me he didnt notice any damage to my car because it was raining (spitting), and he had a customer waiting.........? my alarm had also gone off, so obviously there was a reason for that!

my car needs a new front quarter pannel and a new front bumper

It just REALLY pisses me off that people could do that... How the hell am i supposed to find 1000-2000 (whatever the damage will cost to fix) for someone elses stupidity!? argh!

yea mate its seriously bullshit, its just too had to own up to a screwup, i hate f*****s like that, i recon u shud take that cabby to court and get HIM to pay the price for the damage HE caused, it seriously sucks how people just get away with it..

he is gonna pay for it, but its just a matter of whether it goes through insurance or i get a quote and he gives me the money... im getting a quote tomorrow but im pretty sure he'll want to take the insurance route, because im POSITIVE its well over a grands worth of damage and he was whinging that he didnt want to have to pay that much to go through the insurance

he should consider himself lucky i cant be bothered chasing him up about leaving the scene of an accident, all i want is the damage fixed, and pronto!!

That's crazy I'ld be spewing too about that.
Taxi drivers like the guy who ran from the scene are becoming all to common lately.

Report it to the police (sounds like you have already?), he should get slapped with failing to leave his details, then claim any damage through your insurance, give them his information and he'll pay for it wether he likes it or not.

if its not your fAULT and you have insurance, a witness and a name to give your insurance co. (taxi driver) you can claim on your insurance without having to pay excess.

if hes going to make a claim on his insurance grab the claim number and give it to your panel beater so he can add it to his quote.

just had a quick look at your photos and you need a new front bar, front bar clip for the rh guard and a guard.

parts that will need to be painted will be the front bar and the guard obiously and rhf door and bonnet need blending.

that will be over a grand in total

Got the quote today... all up its gonna be $2,350 to fix :/ Sio now I just gotta call him up and let him know, at that price he'll probably choose to go through the insurance, mehh.. he's gonna be out at least a grand anyway (his excess)

i feel your pain mate. Had a full respray and 6 days later someone badged my car, then 2 days later someone reversed into it. Such is Life mate, nothing you can do about it.
