Hey mate, theres a thread here.

    V6 Exhaust - Post here

    Everyone makes mistakes :P

Mettam's in Kelmscott is real good, they seem to be cheaper than the rest of the mettam's around but they do 100% better work.

I put a redback catback on mine, sounds superb.
Only cost me $280 in total, he didn't sell me the catback.

Extractors don't do a huge amount in sound, depends in what your after?

Performance or sound? If you're after sound then you don't need to blow $2k on an system.

One with extractors should at the most cost around $1200, thats paying quite a bit too.
    Hope I helped, good luck.

Hey mate, and cheers for replying. Got a quote today, pacemaker extractors with 2 1/2 is $1432 fitted, apparently you can choose whether you want loud extractors or quiet ones. I went for the loud ones lol. does the redback catback improve performance aswell? I guess id compromise performance for sound.

    Thanks buddy.

Edit: oh and cheers for the link!

    Never heard of loud extractors?
Is the diameter of the pipe larger?
Catbacks do increase the performance somewhat..
It helps your engine to breath easier, and expell the gases a little quicker.

The best setup for price would probs be:

Extractors - most brands are similar prices.
Catback - Shouldn't pay more than $200 (all it is is a 2 1/2' pipe with a muffler why pay more?)
Tip - if necessary, I don't have a tip on mine, I will soon though, get a slightly larger tip than 2 1/2' as it will weld onto the pipe easier.
And ofcourse something for induction, K&N cone filter, SS Induction Kit, CAI.
I have a K&N cone filter but if I was you I would go for CAI with a K&N airfilter element, atleast then its sucking in cold air unlike mine which is sucking it in from top the engine.

all that should be around $900 - $1100..fitted.

I think $1432 is a bit steep unless you're taking it to APC, then you know its worth it.

    Hope this helps :P

Thanks again buddy for the hasty reply. Ahh neither have I, and not exactly sure... Ok so ill search around for some decent extractors, catback (is this the same as a hiflow cat?)

So i will be keeping my 2 catalyct converters and mufflers? (pretty sure theres one muffler in the center and one just before the tip).

Cone filters are illegal in WA arent they? lol

I wont be ringing those people back again then.

Anyway sorry about the barrage of questions, i just wanna get a good idea before i spend my hard earned lol. Cheers.

    no.
catback is a pipe with a single or double muffler that bolts onto the original catalytic converter through to the back of your car.
You don't need a High flow cat.
Your stock cat is just fine.

Ive never heard of cone filters being illegal? Another name for them I guess would be high flow air intake..

keep your cat. is your car twin exhaust right now or single?
If its single then you only have one cat and 2 mufflers, one in the middle and a rear resinator muffler.

With the catback they take the pipe from the cat off, this includes the mufflers you have on that pipe and then they bolt on the new pipe which will have the new muffler/mufflers.

That image is also the same for twin exhaust if you have it, just the piping after the cat gets replaced with what you want.
