This is what can happen when you turn big revs with a stock cast flywheel!
Must of made one hell of a noise and would scare the shit out of ya.
A mate had his stock cast one let go in his r8 clubby, fly wheel let go at the crank flange bolts and smashed all his bell housing lucky the box was still ok. Happen when he grabbed 2nd gear instead of 4th.

You have to go to rotaries to see good clutch blow outs. Try 10,000+ rpm.........

this can happen to any manual car - rice or not.
Ive seen it happen to FPV GT's, R8 and even shitty 308 kingswoods.

the worst one i seen was a GT, smashed its way through the dash, some through the bonnet, some through the firewall, there was even a piece pushed into the tarmac and had to be removed with pliers.

very nasty and very dangerous when it lets go.

Manual or auto it doesnt matter. Try rev the buick to 8500 and it will spin bearings and throw rods long before it spits a clutch/converter.
