Given whats happened in the past month with the CCC I'd advise against any cruises. Someone was serverly bashed with his own club lock even though there were police present at their last meeting. The cops won't take too kindly to car cruises for a while, you'll just be asking for trouble. I'd wait at least another month or two before organising something.

oh trust me buddy.. I don't expect to start organising for another month or two at least.. well.. I might organise it, but I won't have any plans set till 1-2 maybe 3 months.
it's my first "cruise" setting up, and im aware that im my organisation skills aren't 100%. And thats another reason why it's a mini cruise of maybe no more than 10 cars.

Fair enough, the smaller the better. I've seen the CCC out and about before and they attract alot of attention from coppers! Just be careful thats all i'm saying. But yeah, if its in a couple months i'd be interested

Yeah.. I've got no problem (personally) with cops, cause if im going to go on a cruise, my car will be 100% roadworthy no doubt.. I won't be doing stupid antics either.. I want my license!
btw.. the original post was on calaisturbo.com..

cause some people here have only just got thier P's (I think) there might be a few people a little uneasy about CBD driving (much like myself) .. Lukie and I were thinking after this cruise, in a few months maybe, we could setup a mini-cruise designed for people on the Mornington Peninsula. Including people from Dandenong down to maybe Rosebud/Portsea-ish. I was thinking maybe a cruise out to Tooradin. Not too far away, and it's not to close. Would people be interested in this kind of thing?
Doesn't matter if we don't have a string of cars, but anything more than 5-6 cars with people would be ideal.
If people WOULD be interested in this idea (or if you're from the area's outside of the mentioned region and would still be interested) can some people email me at tr3nt@iprimus.com.au.
Thanks. This is only an idea, and yeah.. I think it would go alright.

Hey Guys i just joined this forum as im a member of CCC and am getting sick of the crap thats going on around there...
If you's would like any help organising a mini meet or full on forum cruise some time id be more than happy to help out..
RE: the cops... The police have a thing in for CCC not car cruises in general.
CCC had roughly 400-500 cars at the last meet and many of the ppl turned up just to do burnouts and act lkie an idiot (The marjority were not members tho)
Im joining up with DAM STR8 and went on a cruise wiht them on friday night, smallish group of cars prob 50 last one i went on, very friendly atmosphere etc...
Im trying to organise a mini meet/cruise up to arthurs seat this saturday if anyones interested post up here or message me on 0417980666 or add me to theeir msn its GreenDay_59@hotmail.com
im trying to get a group of cars saw 10-20 to cruise up there for a day out.

I'll have my P's in 5 weeks, I'd love to go on a cruise. Unfortunately, I'll be rocking up in a very run down F**D XF Station wagon.
My VT Calais won't be purchased until Jan next year .

no, because there is a good reason behind this poll - and thats why it has "victorians only".
