just wondering if anyone else on here works for em, i currently work for them as a 2nd year fitter/machinist apprentice, im fairly sick of their shit theyre meant to be helping us get jobs i really havent seen much of that going on were meant to be supervised theres about 20 apprentices supervise by one guy? whos meant to be teaching us our trade while we are waiting for hosts. they say its a "not for profit" organisaion thats ****ing bullshit, anyway is there anyone who agrees with me? especially about the one superviser to 20 apprentices is that even legal?

Gee, the reason you might not have jobs, is maybe for the fact that 48,500 Victorians have LOST jobs due to this "economic recession" anyone who DOESN'T have a job is finding it hard to find any kind of employment.
So what if there is one guy supervising that many apprentices? Where i work we have rougly the same ratio, one supervisor to 17 - 20 blokes. We all work well and it's fine. Maybe if people act up and make life harder then it would be a **** of a job supervising that many young blokes.
If it bothers you that much, quit and go somewhere else, if you don't want to do that, suck it up and deal with it instead of whinging about it. Or put in a complaint or throw some ideas at whoever is in charge. I'm sick of people whinging about this kind of stuff, yet make no attempt to even REMOTELY help their situation. Complaining on a Commodore forum isn't going to help you at Gippsland Group Training is it? Enjoy it the way it is now, because it's probably going to get worse with this "recession".

but yeah best of luck
ok the first paragraph i understand you make sense and i agree, in the second "So what if there is one guy supervising that many apprentices?" i said is it legal because as far as i know apprentices are ment to have a qualified tradesperson supervising them i KNOW thats not happening as for complaining on this forum im asking serious questions because there are people on this forum who may have had problems like this before considering the amount of people on here theres a good chance ill get some usefull information, as for putting in a formal complaint at work the best thatll get my is ignored at the worst fired so thanks for the f*cking help a**ehole
i know this im not complaining im trying to get a question answered and determine what my course of action should be
hey mate well i wouldnt say theyre all wankers definitly some but thats not the whole story, as for being qualified sure ill have my ticket but going on as it is ill know **** all so ill be a qualified tradesman with the knowledge of a 2nd year apprentice whos going to want to employ me?
No ****ing worries ya ****ing **** lol.
You think you will get fired for handing in a formal complaint? Well wherever you work is complete bullshit then, you are legally allowed to hand in formal complaints about people. If you get fired for it, seems like a bad place to work in the first place.

Mate I worked for 2 different training groups while I was an apprentice, they were both the same. Sent me off to an employer and I never saw them. I asked the second group not to send me to large construction site's that I wanted to to some house stuff, but they sent me to the to a Construction Site. At the end of the day they paid me every week and I did what I had to do to get that cash.
