As far as I know, there isn’t a person I know that hasn’t bought a lemon. Even a new car can be a lemon. What was yours and will you ever forgive yourself, and forget it.
Remember the XU1 Torana, well I bought the the 4 cyl ‘vauxhaul’ engine version of that car. You know the one with the short stubby nose…..enough said.
Omega (caprice rims)
Yamaha VX110
There is a reason why Commodore is number 1 since 1979. Its the best Aussie car. I loved my VL and I love my VE. I cant help it.
I haven't had a lemon yet touchwood.
My first car was 16 years old so its a bit late to be called a lemon then.
My Vx needs a camber kit then it should be fine again (according to info on this site!), scrubbed the tires out in 6 months and I did not do a burnout once!
My friends have a Ford Focus and if one things not broken its another.
They haven't even paid it off yet and due to them stuffing up somewhere with the insurance or something (not sure exactly) there's nothing they can do about it.
One time I stayed at their house and their drive way is a huge steep hill (house is at the bottom) and I got parked in and they went to move it and it didn't start, it had to be towed away. I couldn't begin to imagine the money it has cost them. They said its more likely to be going to the tip as they will never be able to sell it!
But it works well in my favour for the Holden/Ford rivalry we have! lol
Current car I have was a lemon... but i've de-soured it...
Still is a lemon though i guess because if i was to sell it now i would be losing alot on it... so its just better for me to keep it and drive it will it dies.
I've had bad cars, but I don't think I would classify any of them as a lemon.
No lemons in almost 18 years.
I feel for those who end up with them though lol.
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
- Theodor Seuss Geisel
^^^ You can't say you feel for people who end up with lemons and finish the sentence with a 'lol'!!
lol....
i dont think iever owned a lemon ive had cars break down on me but thats is just wear and tear that you got to expect

I don't think I could say I've had one either.....anything which has gone wrong with my cars is either from wear and tear (not much in this catagory) and from me abusing it.

I had a 4th Generation VW Golf. Worst lemon I ever bought. It had been in a severe accident and was a company car. I still don't even know why my dad let me buy it.
One thing I can say about it was it was great when it ran properly.

Cant say Ive bought a lemon either, but I do own a VKBut all the problems I've had are to be expected. Its now pretty realiable, and good on fuel to.
The VT has been the best car we have ever owned. Just clokcked 260 thousdand, and only had to problems with it, which were both minor and cheap to fix. oh and the air bag fault.
I haven't had a lemon but a mate of mine bought a holden calibra I reckon there's something different wrong with it every week I find it funny even tho im relying on him for a lift since I crashed my commy
biggest lemon i have ever had was a Mazda 929 which i bought when it was 4 years old with 60 000 ks on it.it had engine, transmission and various electrical problems. i only kept it for 7 months next biggest lemon was a Ford Telstar.
these 2 cars turned me off any Mazda products for life
I would have to say that my VN was a total lemon when I bought it. Engine knock, oil leaks, bodged interior....
Alot is now fixed - I have replaced pretty much everything except the diff and the tailshaft, and the diff replacement is creeping up on me sooner than expected!!
my mates 1998ish toyota 4wd has been taken to 7 different workshops a total of 16 times chasing different wiring faults. dash has been out 4 times.
id prob call that a lemon. woo go toyota, prob saved yourself 4 million dollars by making wiring smaller but cost your customers probably double that trying to fix your stuff ups.
my vl was a P.O.S but wouldnt call it a lemon, just needed tlc

Now because that broke off and the alternator flopped around for a bit, it flogged out its pivot point on the alloy block so it forever sat cockide and would flick fan belts every 500-1000km, which is about 1 every week. So the norm was to have a spare in the back with the 2 spanners i needed to quickly fit it and then stop in at the first auto shop i pass to get another spare. Syncros went in 1st,2nd,3rd. 4 fugged shockies. Front sway bar link pin pulled through the front wheel arms and tore a massive hole in it. Week after i fixed one side the other side pulls through, big washers again to fix that. The plastic dash was split from front to back in 2 places either side of the cluster. Cat converter cracked up, so just hollowed that out tottally, wasnt worth buying a new one. But i cant remember everything broken on it just now, there was a squillion things wrong with it. So after a laboured 12 months of owning it i traded it in, i couldnt take it anymore. I will never touch a hyundai again.
my vs is a lemon all i have to do is look at it and it costs me a few grand the things falling to bits every where
another mate has a VU SS which is off the road every other week getting fixed its funny when he pulls into work in his mrs' pink lancer
My old VL. Spent thousands on repairs and sold te POS for $400 with rego. Now that was a lemon. So I bought another VL... LOL.

my current car is a lemon. Its a 4cyl 92' Magna wagon. It is horridly slow, i cant overtake others. Its done nearly 380,000km's, the clutch its going and it slips now and then (also the thrust bearing has had it so that is louder than the engine). It drinks VAST amounts of fuel, my cammed 308 VC uses less fuel (average of 400 to a tank on COUNTRY ROADS with the larger wagon tank). Its from 1992 and its got a carburator... A CARBURATOR!
Its slow, shit and uses lots of fuel = lemon.
i've put too much money into cars - but none i'd call a lemon.
