One HD, Ten HD

Hey all,

Just curious if anyone else can view Ten HD? For some reason we can't, just One HD. I can understand them getting excited about launching their One HD but does it need to be broadcast on what is supposed to be Ten HD, as well as One HD? We get it, a new channel, geez.

I'm also annoyed that sport is still on Ten and One at the same time (AFL etc.), shouldn't it be confined to One so people who don't like sport can watch something more entertaining?

It's great. First time i seen F1's in HD. It is a shame they have left standard HD 10 out now.

Shame they said for Adelaide viewers that the AFL game would be shown - only to NOT show the footy. Then replay the St Kilder v Swans game 3 times.

Ten HD Does not exist anymore, only ONE HD.

At least you can get it! Country areas have been stooged, we wont get it till "some time later this year" because 10 is broadcast by Southern Cross Broadcasting.

Even Canberra won't get it till then and its's the capital.

Also anti-siphoning laws state that some programs (major sport included) must be shown on a base free to air channel, they were on both because of that and they wanted to show it in HD.

I agree with omega I get both and cant understand why they broadcast the same sports on both channels, I cant stand most sports most are 5 minutes of action packed into 6 hours ,but I will watch drag racing when its ever on

Whats worse than missing out on a single channel (being regional area) is buying a full hd tv to learn no programs will be broadcast in 1080p and above~!

i was waching the new one HD on the lcd in the lounge room. and a friend of ours was getting rid of his HD box, so i took his offer and its now on my older model tv.

I enjoy one HD, when something decent is on it.
Its great having a sports channel, all i need now is a music channel. And there is no way im getting pay tv.

Nascar is a big plus for One HD. It's just the programming time table that is pooh - it changes every 2 days and the paper prints a completely different version. So it's pot luck on what you get to see.

ABC II has a fair few concerts and music things on, but its usually at really shit hours

we can still get 10 digital, 10HD and OneHD
every time I've switched on though 10HD and OneHD have had the same programs/events on

dont think the channel ten advert of this feature is helpful at all, I know what they are on about, but many Ive spoken to are totally confused.

I think things will smooth out soon when they get over the 1st few week jitters. Probably a few newbies on board. One reason for a published nascar race no show was because the race was washed out in the states. Cant show what you dont have

How long will 10 go without 10 HD ?. As the others show movies and series programs etc in 1080i - 10 is left with only a digital signal.

its great, but no need for AFL to be on both channels! and no need for full game replays! just a half hour highlights reel is good enough! so many replays its like fox!
