Im going to get a skyline
Hey guys,
I went for a drive in my brothers, friends, milkmans skyline and man it was so fast, it light up 1st and then 2nd at redline and did a huge chirpy into 3rd so im going to get one.
Ok enough of the bullshit.
Why is it import drivers are so quick to jump at you when it comes to cars. I was talking to one the other day and hes talking shit about how fast it is etc with just an exhaust and pod. He was braging about how he can light it up into 2nd and how any car that isnt japaneese is shit.
My statesman can light up 2nd and with 4.11 gears and 15" tyres would be able to smash through them easy.
Why are import drivers to quick to dis anycar that inst japanese. I have driven Supras, 180's, Skyline's etc but its nothing but fast gearing to me.
I drive a Skyline, too.
What about the Commodore drivers who try to drag race me off every set of lights when I'm in the Skyline?
You get clots in every subsect of auto enthusiasm. Deal with them.
It's as if society expects me to act like a cockmongler when I'm driving the Commodore. People always look at me weird when I go the speed limit, or indicate for more than 2.5 clicks or accelerate moderately off the lights... wtf

Sooooo..... your complaining about import drivers complaining about holdens. Doesnt that make you just as bad as them. Respect each car for its merits and give credit where its due. The fact of the matter is that with small mods to a skyline, it can produce big power vs small mods to a commy doing sweet F.A.

It could be worse, i have a friend that thinks anyone who owns a commodore is a ******** and that his car is the best thing since sliced bread...... (btw its not a skyline/supra/200sx or anything actually powerful, its a jap family sized fwd so barely anything to brag about)

there is always a group of idiots lol, what shocked me one day was i was sitting in my car at some park eating my lunch and some random bloke in some jap car pulled up next to me saying my car was alright and askin me stuff about it then drove off. i havnt even had someone in a commodore pull up just to ask about my car haha

call me a traitor, but been in my mates skyline, quite a few times, he has about $7g worth of mods, and all I can say is s**t its fast, scares me abit every now and then, and handles way better than any commy I have ever been in........ but at the end of the day, personal choice........ I wouldnt own one.....unless it was free.

I've driven a couple of Skylines myself - an R33 GTS-t and a modified R31 Silhouette... both were very quick cars, and they handled well - no doubt about that... but something about them just didn't bite me. I just didn't enjoy it as much as I should have.
I guess when you're as biased as I am, you can't compare anything to the torque of a V8

Don't get me wrong, i love Supra's. If i was going to pick a 6 over an 8 (lol) it would be a 2JZ. But i like all cars if they are a good car. If there is a 1000hp Skyline im not going to say "oh thats a peice of jap shit" i would be like "tsu tsu tsu" haha. Nah its just that any car that isnt the specific type of car they own is shit. Like RX7 drivers hate anything that isnt a rotor. And CRX drivers hate anything without vtec.

Sadly its mainly the extremest owners that you always bump into and hate. I have a mate that has a fully done up newer skyline (dont know much about skylines, but the model that u see in Fast and Furious and Need for speed lol!). Its tricked out but he just takes huge pride in it, sure he brags a few things about it with due reason but he just likes his car.
Ignore the extreme faggot owners, they diss every other car cause they know deep down inside that there is a faster car than theirs and they are just getting their fill.
LOL and any car can light up second when the gears are so short that you red line 3rd at 40kph

But in all seriousness, Honda (accord/accord euro)=mid-small Commodore=Large Family sedan, bit hard to compare the two.....
Still, not impressed by any Honda to date (personal taste), only the NSX which is overpriced.... I have driven a older model accord and Accord euro and was very under whelmed, I felt I needed a straw hat on the rear parcel shelf and yappy dog on the back seat (both optional extras).

nsx were overpriced but they were a fantastic car by all reports (of coarse i never driven one i only wish) theyre handling braking and even very powerful for the engine almost put them in a class of theyre own.
Honda make good cars especially nowadays theyre engineering is almost 2nd to noe in the automotive industry and they build high quality motor sure theyre not the most powerful motors ever but they're waaay ahead of general motor in technology
