    Default Raising a 4x2 Hilux

What's involved in raising a 4x2 hilux about 2 inches? Just get bigger springs and shocks? I know with lowering commo's a camber kit is often needed so what about raising?

My dad is thinking of giving his 08 lux a lift and maybe then the sidesteps, bullbar, etc. Basically a 4x4 hilux without the 4x4 ability if that makes sense.

    Yep, get a lift kit.
Pedders and old man emu just to name a few will help in this area. I stuck an exrta leaf in the rear of my rodeo and it lifted it about an inch, which was a huge difference.

You can buy lift kits for those Lux's They don't look too bad lifted either. But you need to get it engineered after it is lifted.
There are plenty of 4x4 Forums out there to get some tech info and help from.
