All I am going to say is get some 1.98s and good valve springs to match, possibly push rods as well. I get my rockers from MACE Engineering if thats any help to you

pushrod upgrade not neccessary unless your current OEM rockers have 'taxi' mileage mate.

As for 'best' rocker gear its all down to your decision, everyone has personal opinion. My preference? Yella Terra. Second to none, after YT i would look at Comp brand.

General consensus for other brands who i shall not name as its unfair to slather someone elses product, is that there rockers are 'second hand' and machined to their own specifications from used rockers.

In saying that though, at the end of the day comes down to how much you want to fork out, you will get excellent gains whichever way you go from 'known' manufacturers.

His advice about the valve springs i would definately take on board if you have a few kms on the odometer, apparently Crow Cams are doing LS1 style valve springs for the Ecotec's, havnt looked into this myself but may be worth your while?

ok ill have to look into it, i wonder if i can get a set up before tuesday, ill get my new Vee port BOV tomorrow then the spring arrives tuesday, so i would love some rockers before then

i pue MACE rockers in mine with pushrods cost me $550incl the rods which is pretty cheap. hard for me to tell u how much gain they made tho coz i fitted my cooler at the same time

thanks for the info everyone. i couldnt get a set before tuesday so i will be awaiting another month till i need to do some more work. i go it all back together today, the charger is alot louder (thanks tim) all i need is the new spring so i can drive it properly and wear them new bearings in,

i just had my charger rebuilt like yours ie. new belt n bearing and it amazing how much louder it is

hey charged vx when u have it up and running do u rekn u could do a lil 0-100 film il do the same itl b interesting to campare the 2 coz iv never seen another raptorsupercharger in tassie and havnt had mine dyno'd and would just like to make sure it is getting its full potential.

There is another Raptor in Tassie, its on a Holden ute like a HZ with ECOTEC V6, its full Gen 2 intercooled and the owner thinks its quite a weapon too.

You will find it in possibly the VS - VY thread, its here on JC, I posted it like 4 months or so ago, colour pics

well all good, the vx is back up and running with more torque and better respone and a really loud
BOV , now just more boost please

can u notice anydiff between usin the old valve and the turbosmart 1 in performance wise?
does it sound good?

yeah the way it holds revs makes a huge difference, and my car use to stall with the old valve's now its idles really nice, much better

yeah same here , all i get is rev limiter then BOV not much movement

so would i be better starting off with the turbosmart V port BOV with supercharger spring rather then the standard bosch valve. if i need to upgrade to the Vport for increased PSI then i may as well start off with the tubosmart BOV and save myself some cash

i got mine from autobarn mate. it was 319 and the spring was 25 but i had to order that in,
