how did you manage to fit that intercooler behind the bumper and is there a psi disadvantage if you have a large intercooler like that? i just heard it from somewhere im not sure if it is true or not

psivyv6, im keen to see your work since i have had the charger for approx two months i need to learn as much as i can so some pics would be great, and the cooler is 600x300 with 3 inch outlets,

nermal, i have driven it but not for long due to bad surge it snapped the internal charger belt, so im off to get a bigger BOV, so performance wise it still made 10 pound boost, but increased tourqe by a huge amount, the car is manual and before it would fry second. before it broke it powerskidded 4th, there was a huge temp drop in the air,,

just remember its all about AFM placement keep it in a cool spot.

i will be using a supercharged spring, then i will be welding the adapter on a 45degree angle so the air can flow alot easier into the valve, dont want anymore broken belts.

I am running that same tune up to 12psi on my own car , the fuelling in cold conditions is on the edge but perfect when weather is Warm - Hot

Our VT V6 Auto tune is safe up to 14psi but it doesn't allow the potential of 14psi to be realised tho.

im sure you will notice a huge difference, that is my next thing, i will be using FIT extreme high ratio rockers, then i will be changing my exhaust system from the extractors back, im looking at using the same 3 inch stainless i used for my cooler piping, is your ute manual, ?

yes manual is the , i have replaced my factory dual mass flywheel with a solid one, they are much much better, i also run a very heavy clutch set up, its made up of NPC and exedy, i already have a set of pacemakers the same as yours, but i run a steel hi flow cat and 2.5 inch pipe back to the rear muffler where it then goes to 2 and 3/4, there is so much more to be done, even though my car is an S pack it has a factory open centre wich i would love to replace with a hsv centre with maybe 3.4.7 gears or something around there, the manifold will be the next thing i attack, with ported and polished runners and plenum inlets, then ill be looking at the heads,

this all sounds good, im still running stock flywheel and clutch, how much did ur clutch cost u? no including labour?i have the same problem my ute is an s pak i was thinkin 3.7's sumwhere round there for a diff gears and was thinkin of a minispool?
do u have a billet products short shifter?

the clutch cost me just shy of $1000 dollars, then the wheel was from memory about 350,that is with out labour, you will notice a big differnece when u get rid of the dual mass, for a facotry item they cost about 2200 just for the wheel and they are crap,

about the shifter i just have the factory stick with a smaller knob on it , dropped the length about 30mm, feels nice to change,

but back to your clutch i would recomend going and gettin a exedy cusion button clucth and flywheel kit, that will give a driveable vehicle for the street but strip you will be able to just dump it, being a ute trraction will be a problem,

Sorry to be so negative, but might wanna consider some other options mate, tight LSD would be sweet enough, im assuming this is your daily driver by the way, boosted ute with a mini spool... no weight in the arse as it is... bit dangerous on the street, no one likes to see there hard earned wrapped around a power pole.

How did the 1 3/4 Pacies fit mate? I'm going to put some on my manual ute,but they only list for autos.

Love'n the intercooler set-up.Might have to intercool mine soon.

    hail storm
i bought my 13/4 from a place in tassie called carline mufflers they were $780 fitted im pretty sure not 100% tho i didnt bother even worrying bout fittin em myself for the 100buks or so i payed to get em fitted its not worth the hassle but they have been very good so far cant complain abpout anything there,
maybe i mite stay away from the spool coz ur not the only 1 saying that, i jst thought it would probly work out cheaper and easier then finding a good lsd and getting it tightened and fitting it???? i dnt no much about diffs tho so any help is good none is negative

spool is definately cheaper, however, spools and LSD's are within the cost of a few lobsters of each other. Depending on your bargaining skills, budget approx $800-900 for mini spool & $1100-1300 for LSD, once again, there will be varying opinions on this! haha
