    Default disengaging the pully

Hey guys, looking to supercharge the ute but wanting to know if anyone makes one with a mod that can disengage the pulley. i am aware of the bypass valve type but wondering if it can be completely disengaged.

there are kits i think they r crs kits and they can b electronicaly turned of, i think the pulley works via magnetism and be juust spun freely when disengaged.

Has anyone developed a package that electromagnetically disengages the pully, and simeltaneously opens a bypass in the piping between SC and Plenum ? Could hang another Pod off this.

All the factory toyota superchargers have this feature standard. its kind of like an A/C pulley where when A/C not on it doesn't work.

Don't think it would work to well with more than about 4psi because the ECU tune would need to be different for on boost and off.

why would you bother going to the trouble of making a supercharger kit up and only run 4psi....?

With a centrifugal the sudden start at high engine RPM would zing the guts out of the transmission in less time than it takes to ................

Not a plan unless the clutch had a liquified metal solution where the viscosity was increased via magnetic force progressively
