Smile VE Commodore V6 Alloytec - Raptor ProStreet

    Time for another new thread

Overnight we recieved quite a massive influx of emails for VE V6 Commodore, we are now seriously contemplating a kit for this vehicle.

If you are considering that a Raptor kit for the VE would interest you then call or email the following number

    msaonestop@hotmail.com

Or call Matt Stocker on 07 3800 3709

Watch this space, the work ............. should it go ahead will take a month or so to complete and we do have a method of tuning all models manufactured right up to this point in time should we get to that point. Don't ask how, definitely can not tell.

your secert way of tuning, is it something that would limit the kit to QLD customers only?

Not sure what Matt is thinking at this stage, he was mighty keen a couple of weeks ago but his apprentice is on 3 weeks hols, lets see if he cranks into the VE kits after that.

    Yes, no action

We had a strong line of interest then it stopped completely............ so did we, unless we get hassled continuously for a product we will move to the next product that people are screaming out for, in this instance the interest waned so we hit the AU and E series Ford V8s, heaps of interest there. Then back to LS1 to complete by Xmas.

    +1 for interest as well.

All comes down to price though, not looking for a horsepower hero. Mines a daily driver that does a fair bit of mountain work, heaps of long haul highway interstate, and tows.

I can understand it may not be worth your time to conduct extensive R&D on a kit you can sell to the masses, but it'd be handy to have a ball park figure on price and improvements.

I'm interested too, been tossing up between a raptor or a vortech for a while now. Seems, from everything I've read in relation to the VZ's, raptor is the best choice. I have a late 07 (November I think) ute. I've heard I may have to change the fuel pump and tank with the CAPA setup is this true for the raptor as well?

    Regards.

P.S. For each of us who replies there are heaps more looking for the same information. I've been looking for 6 months now and registered on this forum just to show my interest.

    VE

OK, I have taken note, this will be something I can tackle early in the new year, I only need to find a local car to get it set up on.

I doubt you will have to replace anything in the fuel system unless the VE has taken some changes for the worse as opposed to the VZ Alloytec. We always supply bigger injectors tho

    Kuz

The VZ still we are likely to come back to but VE is nearly off the research list altogether at present

Call CAPA, make 100% sure you are being supplied with a guaranteed method/device to tune it, that is CRITICAL.

wow, no supercharger for the VE alloytec from raptor, where is the market for the alloytec going these days? Noone even does a short shift kit for the Getrag 6 spd and no raptor for the VE.

The tuning has beat most people, we were as successful as anyone we know of, maybe the most successful of all with the factory PCM tuning with VZ.

The VE V6 means more investment and while can use some existing tune files up to a certain date beyond that there is near zero chance of tuning.
