well i thought when i started reading this again that i was going to start saving ... but i guess not ... oh well i will have to by a 6L
YES, get a V8 before they go DI as well

There is still a great deal of flow in these things. Remember they're designed to run on a number of fuels from factory anything from unleaded to E85, the later requiring considerably more volume flow rate, per given air ingested by the engine. In standard fuel trim on unleaded, I don't think 250-300rwkw would be out of the question. For people who would want more then that the fuel pumps pressures can be tweaked to suit, more importantly the secondary one like the one below

They are certainly a great thing, only wish there was more support for them, but that will come I guess![]()

One quick question for MACE or whoever can answer
Does the 3.0 SIDI and the 3.6 SIDI share the same injector?
Raptor Superchargers - Boosting S1/S2 3800's, Ecotec's and Alloytec's
Found this on pressures: "The 3.0L SIDI’s fuel pump pressures are controlled between 2 and 15MPa, based on operating conditions, while the 3.6L SIDI’s pressures are controlled between 3.8 and 12MPa. At idle, the fuel system is regulated to about 508 psi (35 bar), increasing with demand." Soz...nothing specific on injectors yet but will keep looking. Taken from:
Holden Commodore - Next-gen tech for 3.0 Commodore | GoAuto
so my question is ... are these gdi pumps currently available ... and how do they change the pressure the injectors work at ... because my understanding (and its very limited) is that the injector runs at almost max potential ... so having added pressure behind the injestor would not help at all cause the injector still has to inject it ... i know thats worded badly but i cant explain it better
also if i was to have 2 of the three piston setups would it provide me enough fuel to have a twin turbo setup?
I wish I had the answers
At the moment we are supplying superchargers to a company switching from another brand of supercharger, the kits are for GDI Hyundai's and Kia's. The company tuning these cars seem to be tuning these GDI Korean cars very easily!!!
I doubt the Holden should be any more difficult so its simply a matter of informing ourselves with how its done
I will find out, just not in a hurry to do so yet

this is good news ... keep me posted as i am genuinely interested ...
excuse my ignorance here or if i have misread this thread.
but how did come there are Turbo'd SIDI's and charged SIDi's in the states???
If its impossible how could they exist...

Post up some kit links on SIDI turbo and supercharger kits in the USA - I will check them out and comment on them if you like

Exert from Wikipedia on Jay Leno's Car:
"2009
Jay Leno CamaroGM built Jay Leno his own Camaro,[67][68] the Jay Leno Camaro is powered by the 3.6 L (220 cu in) direct-injected V6 similar to the unit that resides in stock LS and LT models, but has an additional pair of Turbonetics T-3 turbochargers which produces 425 hp (317 kW) with the help of a custom air-to-air intercooler that feeds 7 pounds of boost into the engine. The extra performance is added with virtually no penalty in fuel economy. Besides the power upgrades, the vehicle also gets an upgraded Centerforce clutch and pressure plate for the six-speed manual transmission, an upgraded Be-Cool radiator, Brembo 6-piston brake package, a Pedders coil-over lowering kit, and a bodykit that includes a new rear diffuser as well as a revised front fascia and hood with additional venting for brakes and engine. This Camaro concept has yet to be announced for any type of production release but its design is being used for the Bumblebee representation in the new Transformers 3 movie set to be released in summer of 2011."
This looks pretty impressive!!!!

Thanks for the effort. Unfortunately none of us here have a Jay Leno sized bank account that MAKES things work no matter what problems are experienced.
Link us all to some kits for the DI V6 motors so we can have a look at turbo and supercharger kit options for the everyday person

I attempted to license that companies products here about a year ago.
Once I got the paper workI dropped it and I ran, and kept running. Not for me no no no.

Maybe we should get in contact with trifecta tuning? looks like the car can be tuned with FI though........
Do it, see how you go with it

Squires Turbo Systems - 2010-2011 V6 Camaro
My Mistress... http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/...-mistress.html
Been led to believe both the 2010 Camaro V6 and Series 1 VE SV6 share the same LLT Engine...
If this is the case what difficulties are we looking at regarding the above Turbo kit?
Recieved an email from Squires Turbo Systems today saying it should bolt straight on and they can deliver to Australia
But I want to check with the Tech heads in country considering they'll be the one attempting the install...
Soo Raptor SC, what do you think?
My Mistress... http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/...-mistress.html
I have just completed a case study on this for a customer from Beirut just a few days ago. I have pictures of his engine and there were too many differences to make it even remotely able to take a Raptor kit, in any case I dont have one for VE either.
I can only do my best to guide you - and being rear mount turbo the underneath of the vehicle is more important than around the motor
You must be able to tick off on all of these, to miss any one could mean a lot of head scratching/cost
1. Who will tune your vehicle, are you sure they can do it, is there software for your specific year?
2. Does the floor pan and exhaust system of your vehicle match the Camaro? You can sort of get around this at an exhaust shop - I would say they are different for sure but maybe its not major, maybe it is, remember this is where the turbocharger has to be mounted .... critical part of your system
3. Not much happens under the bonnet with rear mount turbo's but will the pipes to the throttle body come up through the engine bay in the same place as on the Camaro, especially considering its LHD?
4. Can air filter be mounted in same position as the Camaro? Will it be well above water and out of the way of more than ususal dust?
5. Duties on a full imported kit will be pretty high - customs will want their share of your fun
6. Can the oil return to the motor be admitted at the same location as the Camaro? You could probably tap the oil filler cap anyhow....
Try that for starters, if you are confident on those items then make your choice

This is an interesting side effect of direct injection, have a read. Wonder if anyone here has had a look at the intake valves of their SIDI engine after its done 80 000km or so
