G'day all
As the title says intercools.I have got a vp v6 with a powerdyne supercharger on (6psi,250hp@wheels) the supercharger has just be rebuilt WITH BIG THANKS TO TIM.So i want to go to 10psi and smash over 300hp@wheels.I need a cooler but i dont no where to start and dont know how to set it up.Any help would be great.
Thanks Ian
where did you get the charger rebuilt and how much? oh what model is it the belt or gear driven. i have the belt driven one intercooled on my vt but been told i need more boost to warrant it
being that he said tim did it ide say tim from raptor did it for him
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

Its a powerdyne db 11 gear driven supercharger
It was done by tim from rator superchargers
It cost about $600
mate a front mount, probably a 600x300with 3 inch inlets and outlets. reverse plenum if you can. and you will need two 32 or 38mm BOVS to stop the compresor surge the pipework will make, a good flowing system with minimal bends and if needed use mandrel bends not silcone the tight radiuse of the silicone bends will kill power, and make sure your airflow metre and cold air sensor is after the cooler and before the TB.
i thought the bd11 was a belt driven and went to gears in the xb1A charger. i'll have to look into this and contact tim too. with my pipework i have 3 pipes but cant remember what goes to what. should be fairly similar to yours i'll get some pics tomorrow

im sure someone will be able to tig up a funnel to bolt onto your setup?
sounds good mate
is it still like this http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/...-dscf0017.html should take much changing to plumb in a front mount

if you still have that intake just modify it to suit.
get a pwr water barrel kit.. got one on my VT and keeps temps consistent. less restrictive than air to air and less piping work needed reducing boost loss
Hey mate sightly off topic. But 250rwKw is impressive on 6psi!!
What engine work have you done?
Do you think the intake manifold makes a big difference?
Did you get it made locally to you?

Hay mates thats 250ph/185wKw and thats with old heads@cam, i'am looking for 250rwKw
with 10psi and that water to air intercooler thing.
The manifold makes a big difference on this motor , but a stock one its makes next to **** all difference,The mainfold come with the motor from vic. from spencer race engines
Pretty much everything you need to know about intercoolers.... the water-air section is at the bottom>

RCVX and myself have both intercooled raptor v6's and im using a 450x300x76 and RCVX is running a 600x300 and he lost .3psi in the manifold while running 10psi, i doubt anyone would notice driving with 0.3 psi lost would they???????
yeah it makes no differnece, i have the 12 psi pulley and see 11.6psi at the manifold, just some how the pipework worked really well. soon though all the pipework will be made from one peice of three inch straight all mandrel bent to suit the car,,
