Today is a good day as I remember drifting at QR in my VS Ute 3800, Yes 3800.
Cars mods at the time - R31 2 way LSD, new Suspension, CAI, Pacemaker headers, 2.5 exhaust, billet short shifter, Recaro style bucket seats and the handbrake has been modified so it is in the middle(Used to be a three seater)

Tommorow is gonna be even better as now I have K-mac adjustable Strut Hats, Whiteline adjustable heavyduty swaybars, mace 1:97 rockers,69mm TB Mace,12.5mm plenum spacer Mace, and now Raptor blown 10psi pulley and intercooled by AKO performance.
NOTE: vid is of stock engine, am going to pin third so easy now
Dyno next week and new drift session hopefully posting new vids shortly.
New vid, first time with blower, love it, still a little more to do to make it rigid enough, like custom springs and urethane drivetrain mounts.

Looking good mate

Looking good, the reverse plenum is looking a good thing to
Is anyone else out there doing reversed plenums? AKO, are you going to make reversed plenums as a stock item?
Raptor Superchargers - Boosting S1/S2 3800's, Ecotec's and Alloytec's
For VR-VS reverse plenum is the only option due to being a narrowed body commodre and space restrictions. at the moment i am looking into making my own reverse plenums to make them a bit cheaper, the other is advantage with using the reverse plenum , i dont have to cut a whole in the guard for the right side pipe, making it alot easing with mod plate issues.

True as had mine fully mod plated today no worries.
Remember that plenum is here if you want to have a go at it RCVX
Still running a bit lean but I think 240 rwkw is do able, with a few extra's. This is @ 5500 rpm, 175km/h but cut short as A/F ratio was leaning out. probably a sad fuel pump, it has done over 175000k's. Will post new Dyno Late next week I hope.

good figure dave, we will look at fuel pump, regulator, lower temp thermostat and flush your cooling system,
we can bump your fuel pressure up around 40pound and see how that goes along with the new AFM

Standard ecotec fuel pressure is 3.5bar (50psi) and l67 fuel pressure is 4.1bar (60psi). Not sure if vs FP is different but 50psi would be a good starting point.

hey sorry to thread invade but do you know what the legalities of cutting a 3" hole in the gaurd is for ic piping? probably wont be an engineered job either.
cheers mitch

When I did mine I was told I had to weld like a flange setup where the whole was so the body would keep it's strength. And that would be legal. But the laws from qld to nsw could differ

No worries mate. Always glad to offer tid-bits of info where I can. I've always thought base pressure for ecotecs was 3 bar and ironically enough, last night I was scrubbing down a spare VT plenum and lim and I noticed the stock FPR has 3.5 Bar engraved into the casing..
slap in some 36lb injectors and a stock l67 tune and fit a decient fuel pump she will go
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

also is the inlet air temp sensor in the cold pipe with the maf sensor

3 bar is correct for the VS ecotecs. 3.5bar was standard for VT models onwards
stock fuel pressure reg is 1:1 referenced to the manifold vac (or pressure). so if you boost 10psi on a 3.5bar (50psi) FPR then you will have 60psi pressure in the fuel rail when boosting at 10psi

ive got a vs thats intercooled with b3inch piping and a reverse manifold, u dont have to cut holes in ya gard just run them down inside the chassi rail, might not be themost efficent way but i didnt want to cut me gaurds up, and ive still managed to run a low 13 @8psi
it all comes down to set up in the suspension as well, other things to factor in are is the auto stalled or not.. my vy ss with exhasut and maffless tune makes 295RWHP @ 567NM of tourque and i ran a 13.67 with 3:46.1 diff gears i then put a 2800RPM stall in and ran a 13.1 , both runs where with a full tank and street tyres. i would like to go back and run slicks before i charge it but i dont think ill have time

weather plays a massive difference in qld too, but 13.6 with your mods isnt a fantastic guage... its slow and doesnt show what the combo is capable off...
but running a low 13 with stock box and stock gears is a stretch...
What size cooler is that? I'm about to ic mine and I was just told a 600x300 doesn't fit between the headlights but that looks like a 600...
the cooler on this ute is 450x300 i fitted it myself
