Richard, is your charger a raptor one? all chargers are going to heat up a fair bit but if the kit is intercooled i cant see that being a major issue, if the pod is fixed to a stainless intake pipe maybe try replacing it with some flexible tubing and relocating your pod down behind your front bar to reduce the heat.

A pretty reasonable suggestion for those wanting lower the air temp before it goes into the charger in order to maintain correct supercharger compression efficiency

its the one that goes from the back of the charger over the top, as in brendons very first intake pipe

On the way from the states - I hope it has sufficient flow for this heavy breathing alloytec

If its the product I think ......

    It says this
is ideal for normally aspired engines up to 250BHP and turbo engines up to 350BHP
You would need something for 310 - 400BHP for your application .............

You will need to measure the pressure drop at the impeller to determine if its restrictive

Tim yes it is that product. As the intake pipe I already have is only 3inch I don't see how another 3 inch intake would be too restrictive? I guess time will tell. I'm sure they wouldn't be hard to sell again if they don't do what we want.

not much in the sense of new news, although car seems to run ok at the moment. car has been hitting 10psi and not dropping below 9psi lately which is good, charger is running cooler for no apparent reason, which is good, and still waiting for the new addition to the car. also wired up a thermo bypass switch for when im driving under 60km, just to help blast hot air out of the bay and keep the car in the 90 odd degree range. seems to be happy at that temperature.

    All temp reductions are good

You might be in for some slightly cooler temps down there shortly, only problem is that it will be accompanied by rain most likely. Good for environment, not for driving lol

Tell us the findings on this piece you ordered, is it something anyone else should try?

Rich didn't like it. I didn't mind it but found it to be too cluttered in the engine bay. I still hit 10pound easily and didn't notice any power drop

Yes as josh said, I tested my one, which hindered the boost and also gave a very big flat spot in high rpm. Not sure how the ecotec works with it and the alloytec doesn't. Have you noticed a drop in supercharger/ intake temps josh?
