Default Raptor charged ecotec 1/4 mile times

I've noticed recently the raptor charged ecotecs are pulling good times on the 1/4mile. Just wondering if a 12 second charged ecotec is a possible daily or would it just be a pig to drive and what kind of $$ would you be looking at. I know an ls1 or ls2 would be a good idea too but i've noticed you still need to spend a fair bit to get them into the 12s and 11s.
    cheers

IWell no raptor charged ecotec commodore to my knowledge has broken into the 12's yet. I have done 13.1 and it is actually very smooth to drive. 12's is possible on a stock motor though if you have everything setup right in the right car. Tim and I beleive that mine isn't far off pushing into the 12's on a stock ecotec with 243,000k. As far as cost goes, send tim a msg and I'm sure he will look after you.

oh very nice mate, i'm still on my ps for 3 more years so i was thinking if the charged ecotecs are getting good times already in 3 years they'll be even better. So in the next 3 years i can do the diff gearbox and maybe even an engine rebuild. is your car a daily and if you dont mind me asking how much has yours set you back
    cheers

My car isn't a daily but not because it couldn't be. Im a carpenter so I have a work ute as my daily but the vs is driven everything other than work. Yeah that's a good idea. Beef up the gear box and look at a good LSD with diff gears to suit what you want and go from there. Mate cost all depends on how far you want to go. Like all things... You can go overboard or you can go budget. And if done right budget isn't always bad. Don't rebuild the engine tho. These chargers seem to love the standard ecotecs
