Hey, just wondering what likely excuses could be used in the situation where you are pulled over and asked about catch cans and atmospheric bovs? Mine are pretty loud even when coasting lol
if a cops stupid enough to fall for any excuse you can find, theyre not going to know whats going on under the bonnet anyway.
Are you serious. This topic is stupid and should be locked.
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
Just plead ignorance and tell him you dropped your car off for a service and picked it up like that.....no wonder it cost more than normal.
Then tell us how pepper spray feels or what its like getting tasered
Lol maybe the thread came about wrong, more to the point, not what excuses could be used, but more of when that situation has happened, what has been the outcome lol.
First thing that gets attention of the 4 wheeled law enforcement is your style of driving, if you are exceeding speed limits, making smoke/noise, harrassing other drivers etc
THEN once you are pulled over they begin to think ........... this could be worth a further look maybe ........
9 times out of 10 thats how it starts and you WILL need more than excuses and you can generally look at yourself for setting up the situation.
You can get creative with the BOV's and plumb them back with 32mm lines, the valves will accept a hose slipped straight on, then you run it back to SC intake pipe
Same for catch can, plumb the outlet to the SC intake - nothing hard about either of them. Doing so will reduce the performance of the vehicle and of course it will be quiet and compliant.
A LOT of people use these valves including myself - they are not normally noisey at low engine speeds at all, but if you are cruising along locked in 3rd gear at 4000rpm then they sure will be discharging a lot of air/noise
