avgas..... isn't that leaded? (it is here in NZ) if it is it will kill the O2 sensor. otherwise it's great. it's higher octane rating generally means you can run more timing... more fun i run it in my V8 (again eventually when i finish rebuilding it)

    Smile VN Perfection

You just can't beat a nice VN hey. This one has been around a while now but going through a second update.

The engine update at present is getting big work on the heads, cam and supercharger pipework. It was always running 12psi boost and now the owner is increasing the boost to 14psi (via rev limit increase).

Should have some dyno charts through at the end of the month

    hi Tim,

will your LS1 intakes fit onto the older buicks now that you have rotated the blower outlet down like on the ecotec kits?

    cheers

hey could you pm me for price of stage 1 kit for a vn.
also, this might sound dumb, but do you guys make electric pulleys so i can run an on/off switch?
if you dont make electric pulleys, could i use one designed for an sc14?
only im on my P's, so i dont want to have it running all the time and get ****ed up by the cops.
    cheers.

I will answer that one bud.

Unfortunately it is a different design so no clutch on the pulley that I know of. How long before you are off you P's? I am not wanting to put you off, cause these are a great charger, but they will attract the wrong attention as long as you have the additional red or green plates

If you do decide to run with one, you will have a heap of fun

Cool They are pretty easy to remove if you do ever get the canary anyways, so go for it!! check the raptorsc.com.au website for pricing on the kit, it also has contact details so you can call Tim direct.

This is a dreama post to a certain degree but I will put it up anyhow

My pipework supplier has a very worn VR V6 auto ute, now this thing has more ks on it than a Northern Territory road train but owner is keen to give the old girl a make over. List of bigger items are as follows

    1. Engine rebuild with stronger pistons
    2. Maximum porting of heads
    3. slightly improved camshaft
    4. Twin Raptor V chargers in compound configuration (20psi total pressure)
    5. 2 stage intercooling and possible liquid cooling of the chargers
    6. The big build on the auto but no change in stall speed etc, just stronger and still electronic control
    7. A high flow intake manifold plenum designed to enhance maximum efficiency of cylinder filling. This will not resemble the original manifold in anyway at all, TB position like to to change also.

I imagine ute will get the paint and panel to go with as well.

Whats the chances of the above happening in my opinion, well pretty high as the guy can do all the stuff himself very easily except for the engine machining and auto tranny build.

If it comes together it will be quite the piece, it will in no way be an all out HP engine as it has to remain the workshop ute, just how he plans to have power control for the apprentices remains to be seen

For the owner just so long as it smokes the rubber good and hard to 150kmh is all he cares for, quartermile times are not his thing
