We haven't said much here lately in spite of our ECOTEC kits being our flagship product, all are going very well and we expect in the run up to christmas that some customers are going to break the 300 RWHP figure with Raptor ECOTEC systems, we will bring you the news if it happens.

Possibly the latest news is that the Supercharger itself recieved an update this week, all new superchargers will have a new generation AERO 2 impeller with has a lower drag coefficient and will be materially 4% stronger, this being about 30% stronger than any other supercharger impeller. Due to the balancing techniques employed here at Raptor the our Supercharger impellers retain their strength even after balancing and new the surface coating enhances strength. This improvement was not requested but rather the supplier said "here is the latest stuff, do you want it? Us, "hang yeah bring it on". Extra benefits now for every new Raptor owner.

Keep an eye on the VY project car as well, its all coming together and the final NA runs are being made this week, then its all boost . Raptor VY systems .......... FEEL THE POWER

I should have posted it on this thread as well ........ the local dragstrip has cancelled the latest test and tune due to technical difficulties with their equipment.

We are going to have to wait till Nov 10 to hit the strip again

Hey mate.

Curious... I'm putting an ecotec into a VN commodore... Therefore the tune you supply with this kit would be worthless, Is it possible to get the tune made up on the VN ecu for an ecotec... I'd be interested in the Stage1 Raptor kit for an Ecotec.

It will be in a VN with ECOTEC and:
TH700 stage 2 shift kit, billet 3rd/4th servo's.
3.7 LSD diff ratio (coming in few months)
YT 1:9:1 rockers
Lukey Extractors
I would change to twin 2.5" hi-flow system with this kit.

Approx Price?? For a kit made up, with a tune for a vn.... Or a price for a kit without a tune & I can get one made up.

Raptor i'm interested in a similar set-up too hozy's. I'll be using a ecotec engine in my VP might try for the VS ecu or standard VP's what ever is easier or cheapest.
Whats the price on the stage 1 and 1.5 please.

Yes, one (VR 3800) was tuned yesterday, 215RWKW or 286hp was the result, the combo isn't totally known and engine sounded pretty grumpy - like not real happy. Boost pressure was 9psi at manifold and it is intercooled.

HOWEVER this thread is about ECOTECs so will report on another deadly one of those in 1-2 months, same one as featured in pictures above on engine stand

The FIT 1.97:1s are around the $895.00

The Pacemakers are approx $550

The HSV system, (got it for free) but typically you get them for $100 - $250 which is bargain because they are stainless. Exhaust shop working at normal rates as opposed to exhorbitant rates will charge about $300 to fit it all.

For Stage 1 (ProStreet) Raptor kit for VU, VY and VX $5500inc GST. VY kit is more expensive because of more involved tuning.

For Stage 1 (ProStreet) Raptor kit for VS-VT $4995 inc GST, but this can be cheaper depending on exactly what you need.

are these kits easy enough to fit yourself or would it be better to get a mechanic ?
wat parts do they contain also ?
on top of that would it be advisable to get a bigger fuel pump or even a higher pressure one if thats the case because the super6 standard comes out with a different pump ?
