I'll be using Yella Terra or FIT rockers.

Does the kit come with the second valve? What else is neccessary to complete the job other than what is supplied in the kit (intercooled kit, I know you don't supply the IC piping, is there anyhting else not supplied)? Can you supply the valves?

    Cheers

I will give you a torque figure again soon when I give the rollers a spin. Used to be around 475Nm on the engine at 9psi, should be nicely into the 500's now

wow! there some impressive figures for the ol'V6!!

    keep up the good work!

RAPTR6, Hi I asked twice know and you still haven't answered my most important question before I buy a Raptor SC.

"Does the kit come with everything I need to complete the job? If not what else is needed?" (I know you don't supply IC piping, is there anything else not supplied in the intercooled kit?)

    Cheers

Very sorry, everything EXCEPT the pipework is included with the intercooled kit, you add the pipes I supply all the dual BOV etc etc.

    $5500 for that package.

Hi raptorsc, can I have the prices for stage 1. Am I right in saying this fits straight onto a standard 3.8 v6, it doesn't have to be the already fitted SC models? Will the engine be strong enough as its sitting @ 170k at the mo?

Yep its for the non supercharged engine, fits directly on.

For VX its $5300 for the full kit, includes computer modification.

That is low enough ks, not seeing any problem there

Hi there...just wondering if you could give me pricing for the super street kit to suit VT wagon. And what engine mods are recommended to handle this kit??

    Cheers

    VTJOEY

The superstreet is the high end of ProStreet Intercooled, runs 12.5psi and dual atmo venting blow off valves. One valve is BOSCH the other is turbosmart valve with SC spring modified.

I would recommend you get a custom tune for it, you have some good tuners in Perth.

    Will PM price

    Well, welcome to intercooling 101!!

Of course the blower internal belt has snapped, but why so suddenly and so soon after the intercooler installed??

Compressor surge is the reason and you are so lucky the blower has an internal belt which protects the compressor wheel from damage.

There will be at least 1 major thing not right with your set up and maybe more so you best email me and we sort it out.

This is the old Tuddles blower right, you got it second hand? Sounds like it .......

We had a discussion and for sure we worked it out.

The system constructed by RC VX is a work of art but more prone than usual to compressor surge and the 2 BOSCH valves can't take it on this one.

So he will now go to the 32mm Turbosmart valve modified for Raptor operation which should (based on our latest research) eliminate the problem.

He indicated his IC system had 0 pressure loss, he 10psi before the intercooler went on the vehicle and still has 10psi. He described the power gain as "very impressive"

RC VX you are welcome to tell about the difference your cooler made to power and how you tested it

the blow off valves wont sound clean ie, they should sound like a one nice quick big gush of air, before mine broke they sounded a little bit like they had turbo shutter like a high pitched squeally noise, stop driving if you get that, i have gone straight to the big 38mm BOV really nice valve too,

and to Tim yes the power was remarkable, i still only have an open centre and it held both wheels right up to 4th frying before it started to move down the road, and the car is still running a base tune,, yet to be dynoed
