I'll have to check with ECB but i'm pretty sure their bullbar won't intrude into the front of the car so it should all be good. be a total waste of good money to put the 1.5 kit on then go hit a roo on the way to work (930km of roo populated road)
I think behind the scenes for a while a few customers are wanting to go the next step and for sure we can take them there now, its a been a while sorting out the Raptor V when running it hard to combat compressor surge on throttle closure. This problem has been thoroughly overcome and will result is acceptable reliability when the charger is being used well past its design/warranty parameters.
Here are the parts which I will bundle into Raptor powerup packages in the nearish future - all for VT - VY. Will deal with VS enquiries piecemeal to start with, so much harder to fit big intake systems etc to these.
1. 4" intake for VT - VY V6 systems with matching K&N filter
2. Very high performance camshaft - will be the only one we will offer, massive power increases - PROVEN
3. Quality replacement valve springs w/retainers
4. Smaller pulley for the supercharger (up to 14psi at charger with 4" intake)
4. Calibrated Turbosmart valve or similar (which has yet to be proven), this valve is essential before any other mods
6. High lift rockers
7. High performance fuel pump (essential with Camshaft)
8. A tune to suit cam and high boost. Most generic Stage 1 tunes supplied at the moment will run high boost safely but will not give allow full power potential at high boost.
9. The recommendation to purchase a MACE cold air corner box

that al looks good tim, looking forward to finding out a price![]()
Yeah! as PSIVY6 said!
Looks like a few good additions to your product line up Tim, should be good for all the guys out there with a raptor bolted on, even better for the lazy people like myself who have taken forever to get it all happening! I can feel a change in my power plan for my poor ute! haha
Still waiting on pricing for super street kit to suit vt wagon...
Cheers!
You should have a PM by now

Will have to put up installation pics of a Raptor install that we did recently, with a couple of touches to it. Needless to say the customer is very happy to say the least![]()
looking forward to seeing it mace,
just had my charger rebuilt , when i first put it back on it made the normal wishle but louder. and now its making a funny noise , is this normal .
work sort of funny noise?
If you think its something I should be checking out then don't hesitate to get it to me.

i think it may be a bearing noise or a pully
its like a ticking noise.
withthe ticking noise sometimes if you get a bit of shit on you pulley or belt it can get sticky and make it seem like its ticking mines doing it atm if you spray wd40 on the belt this should tell you if its the problem as it will get rid of the noise momenterly.
vs-6 i took the engine belt of an spun the charger pulley and the noise is inside the charger, i have contacted tim and he said there could be a few things and ill be sending it up to him on tuesday,
Raptor,

looks like the info i need, apart from upgrading exhaust/extractors wot else would you recommend i do before i stick a charger in, sorry bout the silly questions used to dealin wit 2 wheels not 4 haha
Make sure you get a new HIGH FLOW catalytic converter, the stock item is the single most restrictive piece of whole exhaust!
Otherwise bolt it on hey. Check out our USED, 2nd hand and specials thread too.

Anyone see the BIG FORCED induction in the latest Street Comms magazine, I guess its been on sale for a day or 3 now. See the Raptor HOT TIP, if not check it out, simple recommendation but a common owner error

that would be the free flowing exhuast tip would it which is commonly overlooked.
anyway ill get to the point
tim since putting on the 12psi pulley i am only getting 8psi at the guage ( i am unaware of wat i was getting before)
i am wondering wat the cause of this would be.
obviously im losing boost somewhere i still have my 3' intake and all pipes are still silicon joined some of which may be restricting, well they look restricting but was not sure how much it would actually restrict the air flow
the other thing is i read somewhere if i drill some holes in my plemum and thread them and have individual vacume line for each bov (and the boost guage) i will get the boost to come on earlier,
well anyway i might look at getting my pipes welded up i will just cut bits of pipe up and get them welded in
failing this i got a 14.1 with shift kit, 3.45 gears on the larger pulley with standard rockers and just a single 2.5 exhaust. which i didnt think was too bad
any advice on wat to do about the low boost readings would be great. i was also thinking maybe its the actual guage but yer not sure
Brad
I will give you a few pointers and you work from there
1. You fitted the new pulley, were you able to shift the idler on the blower bracket down one hole or is belt tight enough?
2. Is your air filter properly clean, you have been driving for some time now potentially its not clean
3. Is the air filter slipped on too far, make sure its only on enough so the hose clamp can do its job properly
4. Silicone bends are very tight, the metal bends are more progressive, tight bends can hurt psi
5. Obviously checking for leaks and loose clamps
6. BOVs won't affect anything PSI wise, you just gotta make sure your valves are not causing compressor surge otherwise you will be needing your SC serviced long before you should. Plenty been written on this here lately and what to do.
7. With no measurement before you changed the pulley you are fully in the dark (flying blind) on whats going on, could be the gauge, could be the system ......... how will you know. I suspect the gauge is probably not more than 2 psi out at the worst.
8. You can go smaller than that pulley but until you have the system sorted out and making at least 10.5 - 11psi in the manifold its not worth it since you will have underlying issues robbing efficiency and performance.
There you go, see what you can figure out.

Hey Tim just an update I just got my car back from rebuilding the stroker and I had a retune from Chip Torque. Good news that the psi increased, torque increased and the kW increased
Just I hope my 1/4 mile time will decrease lol
