Another reminder for those who visit here

No matter what kind of supercharger system (all brands) you are making a front mount Air to Air system for make sure its all in 3" pipe and cooler fittings all 3" as well. Had a business ring me the other day, just finished a full custom cooler install on a VY with Raptor ProStreet and had only 6psi in the manifold, turns out pipework was 2.5" which is proven long ago to NOT work. They wanted a smaller pulley to make up the difference, I informed them right then and there that it was pointless, start again with correct size pipe and then there will be success. This has apparently occurred with all parties becoming happier. Then it was onto the blow off valves, only had one 25mm BOSCH valve, once again more lessons for the shop , still not sure they fully understood and feel some part of it will come back to haunt me.

All the above could have been saved with just one simple phone call

Maybe you should tell everyone the name of the shop so that everyone on here will not to go near it.

tim could advertise the company, but then that gives them a reason to put the raptor brand down. not needed

No there isn't any need to name anyone, they have made changes since with most of the problem being rectified, it was a case to renew to point to everyone about how critical good intercooler design is

What was meant to be a simple build spiralled out of control, and I ended up with a 4.2L stroker engine that has all the good bits, with the Raptor kit and the 12psi pulley that I bought from you. I’m currently making about 363 rwhp, on a pretty safe tune.

Today I had a customer email this in to me ^^^^^^^^^ might be of interest to other stroker customers. Thats 272rwkw in the new money.

I don't really know the details but it seems the basic Raptor kit I sold him is performing like a legend, I am yet to find out what boost it actually has in the manifold before I can advise him further but hope you all enjoy me passing this on to you

yer, i figured that, but i can get the whole CRS kit, plumping, brackets, msd ignition coils, fuel reg, blow off valve, hoses, boost guage all for under 700. only thing i need is a new 3-4 psi pully, belt and a remapped memcal and tune, i cant seem to think of any other way to get forced induction for cheaper, it seems like i shouldnt pass this oporunity up, just want to know what the experts have to say, obviously he will be biased towards his product, but at the end of the day were all here for the same reason.

    Panya

There is a massive difference in every respect, the system you mention is LOW cost, the outputs it gives are in line with the cost, same applies to the Raptor product -medium cost with medium to high power gains (dependant on engine/tune/etc)

You chose which system you can afford and what end result will make you happy
