How will a Getrag 5-Spd handle the power if i put a charger on my ecotec?
Taking the approx 220rwkw figure into account you guys acheived in the VY...

The Getrag can handle it if you go a bit easy on it in 1st and 2nd gear, the other gears handle the power increase fine, if you go brutal on the launch's then you could expect box failure in 18 months.

In summary, go easy on the starts and everything will be sweet (providing you give it an oil change each 12 month period), hammer it and you better prepare to fix the Getrag in the future. Avoid the clutch drop etc.

hmmm... thats abit of an issue them...
I don't see my accelerator so much as a way to increase and deacrease thing...
I see it as a On/off switch...lol!

Might have to look into a new gearbox maybe then...

Maybe a T5 conversion they are tough but a bit difficult when you want to shift quick or go a six speed conversion with a T56

I will let the pictures do the talking, but this is the most efficient way to handle a VS setup ........ period.

All pressure side piping is 75mm and intake piping to blower is 82mm. 600mm core cooler.

The plenum has had the throttle body put on the other side and also had the tappet covers changed over so you can still put oil in the engine.

There is also an image showing very large extractors fitted on this VS, anyone will know that fitting large bore extractors to an ECOTEC in a VS is near impossible, well this shows it done. Custom headers.

How will tuning it work with the VX Flash PCM
How many hours it would take to install each kit respectively by a decent mechanic.

Another question...

I notice the kit comes with a pod filter... i would rather run it off my current airbox and CAI.

Is there a way of hooking this up? Cause im guessing the pipe after the may could bent around to the outlet on the charger.

Also is there anyway to run piping in the case of an intercooled system to the throttlebody on the passenger side instead of having to shift the TB to the driver side?

You could make a connection to the original airbox, only reason we dont is because it hurts the power output in most cases.

Normally the throttle body is left where it is and you pipe back to it, thats the normal deal, the system shown in the VS - VY kits section is a custom job, not typical of how the intercooling is done but it is the best way.
