It could be an option if I could have a reliable way of trasnporting the car there, having it worked on and then transported back. I'm just really interested to know how having the twin throttles fitted would affect overall tuning and power levels, either in a positive or negative outcome. Where abouts are you in QLD? This could give me an excuse to holiday over that way and get some serious work sorted.
When you see a car that's BLOWN it's refering to the budget.

Lastest information on the final round of dyno days for Street Commodores dyno days.
Cars with Raptor kits have taken out the trophys in 3 states in the competition, only NSW and VIC didn't have winning Raptor pressurised cars.
As it stands for 2007 - Street Comms dyno days V6 forced induction classes.
Qld - Brisbane - Tuddles 187 rwkw (normally 215+) VS ute manual ProStreet kit (dyno reading incorrectly due to damage) Edited
SA - Adelaide - Slyder/Chargd6 219 rwkw VU ute auto ProStreet kit
WA - Perth - Hoff 216 rwkw VX sedan Auto ProStreet intercooled
Hoff normally can make around 230rwkw but installation of new valvetrain components only a couple of days prior to running in event provided some issues. Issues being valve train noise being detected by knock senors and computer reducing timing because it thought it was seeing detonation ....... which it wasn't.
So, all in all congratulations to our customers who confidently took their cars/utes and competed successfully. Being reliable and consistant is what gets them over the line even tho there are more powerful combos out there, in some instances particularly this last week I knew of turbo and highly supercharged V6s that could have showed and stolen the glory but engine failure just a few weeks/days prior to the event took them out.

G'day, I'm just after rough pricing (cause I'm broke right now) on a stage 1 kit for a VT V6 auto, including an estimate of freight to Western Australia... Cheers.![]()

hey tim what would you think about a twin throttle body manifold, on the opposite side to where its located now. could be some fun.. how much power you think with a tune could be possible from it.
Give it a go, you have the Raptor tuner there in Epping so once you get it on he could make it all good for you, you would be first to try and I think the manifold the other way around could be a good thing. Check wit h MACE for something like you want and see what they have to say.
Check with Steve and tell him Tim from Raptor sent you

Mate that is awesome, it gives me a great sense of satisfaction when customers listen to the advice (that is proven to work) and end up having a great supercharging experience. Top work on the cooler install etc, the car should rock![]()

just curious, if i put a stage 1 kit on a ecotec that will only have minor engine work like an exhaust, better intake and a few other small things will it be too powerful when it comes 2 the victorian P plater rule of nomore then 125kw per ton, this would be in a wh statesman???? and could i get a price on the stage 1 kit

crazzyboy
I think the whole thing is simpler than that isn't it, in your age bracket you are allowed no supercharger at all, is that correct?
If it had to be <125kw per ton then I could organise that no problem.
Looking forward to your reply

in vic if you got your licence before july 1st last year you can drive any v8, turbo or supercharged car aslong as the power to weight ratio doesnt exceed 125kw per ton... if a standard v6 statesman weighs 1678kg (as the specs stated) i can put a supercharger on it aslong as the power doesnt exceed 205kw and i therefore cum under the 125kw per ton bracket....
