Though a couple of these images were interesting enough to share
Here you will see ZEUROSENSE (Malayasian BMW specialist) with their car and models at a car show last Saturday
Enjoy
Raptor Superchargers - Boosting S1/S2 3800's, Ecotec's and Alloytec's
Our Malaysian Raptor dealer is planning to enter a BMW 4.4 litre V8 into Mal's most prestigious motor Race, the 12 hr Merdeka Millenium Race. Will add a pic showing a bit of info about the race.
The BMW is going in the open class with the intercooled Raptor system attached, expected track air temps in middle of day will be about 40C

Well done guys, you must be stoked to see your blowers being used on beema's built for endurence racing!
Here is the latest of some of our overseas activities, gives you all an idea of where Raptor is going and that if you have a Raptor Commodore kit then you have prestigious company or maybe its the other way around hey
Enjoy the pics
BMW valvtronic 320i, BMW 520i 07, BMW E36 M3, Nissan 350Z, Porsche 928 and Ferrari.
There is of course a story for each but thats a lot of typing
Expect to see a lot more of these Euro, Asian cars with Raptor giving them a swift kick up the donut![]()

Nice custom 'cooler job in the second last pic! I had no idea Raptor blowers were finding their way onto euro cars, I'm impressed![]()

Had an interesting enquiry a few days ago and its leading to a sale
A fellow from Brazil emailed us about a kit for a Chevy Lumina, first thought was no can do this one
He went on to say it was a 99 model VT Commodore with left hand drive and apart from that detail was identical, even made in Australia .......... of course. It just looks 100% VT Calais Sedan.
Anyhow I requested pictures of engine bay etc and there was the mighty ECOTEC serving life in a little village 600m above sea level in Brazil, running on a diet of fuel that has a minimum of 20% ethanol but up to 100 octane in the premium Petrobas Optima brand.
The owner even has a shift kit fitted and some other goodies.
Will put up some pics of it all here later.

haha Luminas are kinda cool, shame it's a V6 one though.

Here is a pic of the owner and his machine on the paved streets of a little place about 600m above sea level in Brazil, I am absolutely certain he is going to have plenty of pace for the paved roads![]()

.
As always I feel the kit will bolt right up, we have done plenty of research with his help and found a few differences we need to tune for versus the Australian model.
More to come.

differences... like thin air?
WTB: mulberry VN interior parts
Differences like 1 less knock sensor, 20% ethanol fuel mostly covers it all.

On the thin air issue ........ at 600m elevation its still 393 lower than Thredbo at the Snowy Mountains. He should still have some nice cool air tho![]()

haha fair enough on Thredbo... and I did not know the Ecotec even had a knock sensor! I'll be quiet now![]()

600 meters in Brazil depending on just where in Brazil it is could still be at least sub tropical if not pure tropics. I've lived at 2300 meters in Central Mexico and the Average day was still 25c. But I'll be stuffed if I could run anywhere without just about falling in a heap after a couple hundred meters, when at sea level I would have been right for a couple of ks. Boost is the ideal thing to fix low power at altitude tho
I lived underneath this active Volcano whos peak is 5,426 metres, made for an excellent view watching the smoke drift across the valley (I was on the other side than this photo and a bit closer)

Nice, that would be the perfect place to grow the cloudforest plants I collect a bit, still warm enough for a Mango too. Those high altidudes in the tropics are such good places to live. You wake and and think ok.... I wonder what the weather will be today? oh yeah same as everyday, mid 20s sunny with a late afternoon storm, It's just weird to think people are cruising anywhere in latin America in Commodores, my wifes friend lives in Sao Paulo and I showed her a Hotwheels Commodore I had found for sale in Mexico. I was showing everyone saying this is the car's we have in Australia, it's half made in Australia and half made in Mexico. Then she said but we have those in Brazil, Chev sell them, at the time (2001) I didn't really believe her. But hey this guy has VT so I should have

haha foamy that would have been a mad place to live!
I suppose boost really is a good idea at high altitudes, think hard about it: it's the reason superchargers were developed in the first place! Fighter planes used them so they could go higher up than the competition.

Yeah its pretty crazy hey and great to have a Raptor kit going into this place as well. Will post up more info as it goes hopefullyIt's just weird to think people are cruising anywhere in latin America in Commodores, my wifes friend lives in Sao Paulo and I showed her a Hotwheels Commodore I had found for sale in Mexico

Actually the kits are manufactured by 928 Motorsports
I thought the latest images of the 928 kit was amazing, absolutely beautiful.
The words from 928 Motorsport are quite revealing on the performance of Raptor V versus what they normally use, needless to say you go with the system that produces the most power!
Not bad power from the 5 litre V8, and this is using the very same Raptor V as every Commodore gets.
Words from Carl:
"Hey – good news: took the car to the dyno yesterday and put down 420 HP at the rear tire.
The previous kit using a Vortech put down 407HP."

That is a damn tight engine bay.. looks like you could barely get a spanner in there.
Goes to show simple is often the best.
Will have to get some pics of the Raptor dismantledNeeded to do this as the previous guys who worked on it put on too much pod filter oil. A clean of the inner housing, intake and MAF should have the issues sorted. Oil pressure is reading fine. Install of lifters RR's and valve springs next.
Ummm, Thredbo is actually 1350m.
Jindabyne (hm), 975m.
Dead Horse Gap, 1650m.
Charlottes Pass, 1800m.
Yes, we get some nice cool air up here. Shame it average .85 bar.
The reason I listed the others is they are the most common destinations for local sport drivers.
10-20 times a year I have visitors complain their car may have something wrong as it has progressively lost power since leaving Sydney and felt really sluggish going up to the resorts.
Boost is the only real solution.
Amen to thatBoost is the only real solution
