    Let me tell you then

A change of pipework - different route from charger outlet to intercooler inlet - nothing more than that

How about this for a low buck trick for VZ injector upgrade

With some 10 -12mm rail spacers you can use injectors like the BOSCH 811(factory V6 Vy Supercharger injectors) and 968 (42lb) injectors and then you flick down to the wreckers, find a stuffed AU Falcon 6 cyl, cut the injector plugs off with a bit of extra wire, zip home, cut off factory plugs and solder the AU plugs on. This scheme can save you big bucks if its your kind of style

This would be followed by complete retune of the ECU - you would associate this kind of thing with adding some boost since upsizing injectors yields nothing

Not recommended, used or endorsed by Raptor!!!!

Quoting the power figure in 3rd isn't a true indicator of real torque. Dyno run should be done in the gear that has a 1:1 ratio.

Interesting. Just hilighting this as my turbo SS has 830NM in 4th, and it doesn't make sense that this would be generating anything around that ballpark.

is 4th in your car 1:1 ratio? i think 3rd in the sv6 is 1.6:1

Yeah from memory it is. Going by that you're looking at about 550NM which is nothing to sneeze at.

Can't expect a turbo ls1 from a supercharged alloytec can we. Goes very good for an alloytec nevertheless.

Considering I had a cam, heads, a massive exhaust and 12psi running through my ecotec raptor and it just cracked 490nm, yeah the alloytecs are a fair bit better!

I always find the Alloytecs developing suprising power figures - for 10psi they mostly come out 20 - 30kw ahead of the ECOTEC at same boost pressure

Would be interesting to see power figures from an alloytec at the same psi (10psi) at 5500rpm. Any possible chance this will come about in the future?

    Rich

You want to bring er all in by 5500rpm? It can be done quite easy, the downside is you would also need to cap the rpm to 5500rpm max as well, otherwise you would explode the charger by 6600rpm ........ would be a nasty

The Ecotecs are tuned to 5900 rpm - was that the comparison you were after? They are 10psi at 5900
