Ok will keep an eye out for it, have seen the kind of power targets out there that we need to acheive, about the only information I need to double check on is the injector upgrade part. Otherwise stock fuel pump is good, and everything else, 10psi of boost should make around the 230rwkw from what I have seen

    Default Alloytec on the road

Here is the news from the little engine that can .....

Vehicle tuned was a 175 Alloytec in a ute with 6 speed manual

Extractors and free flowing exhaust fitted

Supercharger = Raptor ProStreet (Stage 1) system at 9.5psi, 450cc injectors ....... everything else ROCK STOCK.

Tune is direct reflash of the ECU via VCM Suite (this has some limitations for the tuner/s at present but going well at 190rwkw.

The ute did return 200rwkw however while the power was stable it had some issues during driving which meant it had to be returned to 190rwkw for the moment. As the software and familiarity with software improves power will continue to rise.

    So assuming the 175 was 150 - 160 rwhp and now its 253 - 266 then its pretty much a 100hp gain!

EDIT, just realised I need to include the sheet with torque as well, midrange is real nice

Haven't driven it so cannot comment on road feel

Time for a little update here

We have one Supercharged and intercooled VZ 190 alloytec on the plate, has about a 4 week time frame from start to finish, this does mean that at the completion of this job there will be 190 kits available from that point on.

Pictures, numbers etc all coming to this thread over the next few weeks

    Smile No mucking around

Let's not stuff around, here is the VZ ProStreet intercooled coming to life

A sneak peak of the business end of this thing............

    What you are seeing:

Dual pass intercooler with one side plumbing for shorter pipework - low loss system. All polished pipework and a decent sized area for cooling. Much much more to come, will drop in some sweet top side pics early next week

More droolicious pictures coming next week together with some early numbers for the run in period then some peak figures a week later or so.

For those who might be liking what they see in that VZ image, you can get this as a drive in/drive out deal from Matt Stocker Automotive from Brisbane 3800 3709 gets him on the phone.

You could also order it as a kit from him directly ..........

Looking really good! Any more pics or updates? And any sort of ballpark figure on cost, both installed and as a kit?

    Cheers

Is that a 190 pictured? it looks like a 175 motor, the manifold should be black???

Definetly would look nicer with black pipping, I gather your still working on a location for the PS resevoir

Looks very simple, I like it, the simpler the better

Could the Air filter intake pipe go under the charger or is there not enough room?

Do you think you will have any issues with engine cooling as thats a big intercooler, blocks a good portion of the radiator

The bigger the intercooler the better, the less the end tanks cover the radiator the better unless a cooler is significantly smaller. It will be problem free I assure you.

The PS reservior is on the strut tower, can't see it in the images but apparently its there.

Tuning is underway at this point

Actually depends on the year of manufacture.

I just havent serviced one yet with a silver manifold, they have all been black so far, I like the silver better anyhow

Cant wait to see what she puts out, if its a 190 she will prbably be harder to tune on boost

Do you know what exhasut the car is running, as those SV6's usually have 4 cat s, quite restricted on exhaust valocity, will be interesting to see how this setup performs, if all goes well I may get a kit for my vehicle

I have quite a few customers here in WA wanting a charger setup on there alloytecs

Will the VCM Tuning suit be ok for these or should I use a piggyback system like a Haltec as CAPA does with there kits

The vehicle is an SV6 automatic sedan that the kit is fitted to

The vehicle is currently being tuned with VCM suite, I think your other options will be better since its the other side of AU, the Haltech also supports fly by wire throttle now.
