hi im new to this site and hav no idea wat im doin haha,
i hav a vy v6 manual commodore ute with a raptor supercharger on it and im goin to fit an intercooler myself, i hav purchased a 450x300x76mm intercooler and will b getting a mace engineering reverse plenum to make life easier i was just after any tricks or hint to doin the job? for eg where to put the air flow metre and air temp sensor and where to put the 2 bov i hav?????????
you want one bov before the cooler and one after, make sure the air flow meter is close to the tb as possible.cant remember where the air temp sensor is on our car.
i have a vs v6 that i intercooled also raptor charged are you going silcon joiners or welding or bit of both
i piped mine all up myself the air temp goes on the cooled side as this is the temp of the air the motor is actually getting
and yer as vr_owner said bov before and after the cooler and afm after both bovs close to the throttle body but not too close
wat bov are you using i reccomend bosch plumb backs as this is wat raptor supply and i brought a ebay bov and it didnt work
just dont plumb back the bov's
wat else....
yer put the bov's on the outside radius of bends as this is where they are most effective.
if u like i can take some pics of my setup and post them up there are a few around the site if ur willing to look
yes i will b usin the bosch plumbaks and will b using silicone joiners would love some pics please thanx for your help![]()

VS-6
I will leave Brad to assist you with this, he did a magnificent job on the cheap, ask him for more pics and follow exactly what he tells you.
I would probably move the AFM up closer to the throttle body but otherwise most of it could be the same.

thanx for ur help ill post some pics up when its finishedohh how did u install the air temp sensor?
on pic 2 u can just sorta see it wat i did is drilled a hole close tot he size about 12mm then filed it out then used the air sensor to thread the hole as its only aliminum its not that hard with a bit of wd40 as cutting lube then just tighten up once you have put a bit of thread seal dont use tape as it may come off and im guessing u dont want it in ur motor ill take some more pics of my blow off valve and the air temp sensor and the air flow meter and wat not and post em once internet speed is back at a speed where a photo dosnt take me an hour to upload
than that wood b awesome ill get some pics of mine as soon as its done![]()
