when i turn full lock when im taking off something rattles and vibrates and at about 2-2,500rpm the car has a shudder or vibration, and i did have the tailshaft out but its not that because it does it in neutral when the shaft isnt spinning

yeah thats what the solid flywheel does. it makes all the moving parts in the getrag gearbox rattle. thats why from factory they have the dual mass fly wheel cuz its like a cusion and the springs inside it absorb the viabration. the noise isnt harful in anyway it sometimes can be anoying. just learn to keep ur revs up in gears and u wont hear. its only when u labour it like 4th gear 80kms up a hill u will hear it

If its all sweet, got a tank of quality 98 fuel and humidity is reasonable (60%) I will plug a number around 215rwkw, there are obviously a lot of things that can go with or against a car on the day (like strapping down too hard) that can kill power. All things being equal it will go well

If you have never been on the rollers before then of course you can expect ANYTHING, you are using my own tune which was always a good thing for me and a lot of other people but you never know, only takes one dodgy thing to steady the show down or maybe its all 110% and goes like a shower of ****, the first dyno run is the beginning of knowing.

If you are going to a dyno day and want to create the "impression" with friends/mates you should always test in advance, if you merely want to see what you got and make some alterations for better power later then thats all good.

Had this thought the other day:

On the impression thing (without previous testing) ........ it would be like an athlete going to the world games but having never tested himself on the track or field or against someone else but he promises to lead the field, you can imagine the let down to himself and others, but of course he brings it on himself.

yes that is true, i am goin to a dyno day with approx 20 cars but im not out to impress, well i am but only impress myself i dont care about impressing others, if they are impressed its all good if no then no worries. the only thing i will b a bit disapointed in if it does go all bad i have no idea where to start my alterations from lol.... i tried to do everytin as good as i can so far, so i guess we will soon see how she goes

We should keep in mind that creating a "impression" can only happen from information given to the person striving for numbers. Although i agree that doing it on a open stage leaves a chance for failure, its best practise to find out before hand.

Either way this is the fun thing about building cars, its a constant battle to find the perfect balance and once you do then all smiles!

Good luck with the dyno, post a sheet when you get it done!

This machine must pull pretty well hey PSI? Like through the gears it should be storming along

That cool Tassie air won't let you down, and if you are using octane booster ....... don't over do it, just as recommended, any more and there is no real benefit and may kill a set of plugs.

I always ran synthetic gear lube in trans and diff

Ultimate is good enough to get the numbers happening

Make sure air filter is only slipped on enough for the hose clamp to hold securely, slipping on further reduces air flow. Most often running without the air filter will make an additional 8 - 9rwkw, just make sure you nothing loose laying around near the intake. Those with 3.5 - 4" intakes will make no more power by playing with air filter.

Will check out memory cells for any other items which could assist you
