Both engines I smashed a lifter leaving pieces of metal in the sump, so everything needs to be rebuilt again

I should get it back for Power Cruise next month as it been nearly 6 months to rebuild it...

did you put in 1.9:1 high compression rockers or higher in or is it not needed because the stroker kit is meant to lower the compression ratio

    cheers

there have been a few COME strokers that have had this failure. are they any closer to figuring out why? which brand of lifter did you have?

high ratio ROCKERS effect valve lift and have nothing to do with compression

Im guessing that Speed Pro lifters which COME Racing uses isn't strong enough hence why I broke two already.

Sorry Tim for getting a bit off topic

    No worries on that

Visited the fab shop again yesterday and it seems old mate is running out of time and $$ to complete the compound system (doing it as his own project) and is now thinking of turning to getting our custom intake manifolds for ECOTECs happening.

    Let see what happens

The other possible way is to feed both chargers into a rather large WTA intercooler, lets say to 3 inch inlets at the bottom then approx a single 4 or 5 inch outlet at the top directly into a very large single throttle body, so to do that you would need fabricate a whole new manifold with the TB at the front like an LS1 and move the thermostat to the back like the buicks, and then you could almost make the manifold to copy an aftermarket 5L one, just think about how much air u could feed thru the right TB and manifold set up, have the heads flowed right and everything to match you could keep winding up the boost, something to ponder about.

    OK

A little update, I should have got some photos, product Compound SC is on the road and rolling, full stainless exhaust with big bore headers all hand made. The intercoolers are on their way from the USA and polishing of the chargers is happening.

Will be another few weeks yet ............ but going ahead nicely so far.

RC VX your suggestion would give double the flow but leave us at normal 10 - 12psi, what we are doing is 20psi

    Yes

The front mount heat exchanger has been mounted (painted black for total stealth) and the intercoolers arrived from USA if I hadn't mentioned that already.

Now all they are waiting on is for me to manufacture the chargers for it.

Would you know it, its 12:52pm Saturday and I am making up the special chargers for the Compound System. We dropped some 1.98:1 MACE rockers on this same engine on Thursday also.

The front mount radiator has been in for a few weeks now, everything is ready to rock and roll. I should be able to supply the finished chargers for the project later this next week, then its ROCK AND ROLL

    drippy

A minor set back occurred yesterday, the freakin stock motor died, seems a balancer shaft bearing has gone down, sucks pretty much since the motor has ONLY 130 000km on it which is NOTHING. The owner went to collect some gear, had a dodgy load so drove back about 70 kmh, pulled up and then NOISE

Anyhow noise is not going away so we have an engine rebuild happening before we even get a supercharger near it. We have another friend who had this same issue, anyone else heard anything of balancer shaft bearing failure??

Compounding will happen when motor actually runs again

Sounds very similar to my first engine Tim. Couldn't tell you for sure though because I never got around to pulling it down.

Give me a couple of weeks and I will be able to tell you. Does it knock at idle up to about 3000rpm then stop as the rpm goes higher?
