    [VT-VX] Multicolour Footwell LED Install

Probably the easiest way, is to connect them to the ignition key ring light. It's close to where you want to put them and it comes on with the dome light.

I guess we will never know........ I know what you mean... Taker's, not giver's.

    Indicator Help

Probably the hazard switch, as the indicator circuit runs though it.

    Vt wont go

Check for error codes. Sounds like it could be the throttle position sensor, which is on the throttle body.

    horn location

If you don't have a horn on the left side behind the bumper (reserved for higher end models), You might find that there is a single wire, with a small plug on it. If there is and probably will be, you'll most likely find that there is power (+12v) going to it. Found that out on my Executive...

Sorry....No one on here (I hope), will give suggestions on how to break into a car. Hope you understand. May I suggest a locksmith.

    I got lucky vx v6

Not really rare and I'm sorry to say no V6's, supercharged or not, will be a muscle car. That.....I'm afraid to say, is reserved for V8's. And only a select few at that. Good luck with your car and I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of it.

    Muffler change

Depends on the type of muffler. You probably get a louder sound, but I highly doubt you'll get a deeper sound. V6's aren't known for deeper sounds. They mostly end up sounding like lawn mowers.

A sollution to loose rocker cover PCV adaptors.

A common problem with the right angle PCV breather adaptors on the 304 engines, is that they tend to come loose and will potentially fall out, due to only being a tapered fit. I came across this solution perusing a Facebook group and decided to do the modification myself. Two simple M5 grub...

    Vt air con compressor degas??

Maybe this thread needs to be deleted. It certainly isn't going anywhere with intelligent conversation. Although it was good for a laugh......

    VT to VX taillights

I you are fitting a VX garnish as well. The standard VX tail lights don't have reflectors in them. Hence the reflectors in the bumper. So you will be defected for not having them.

Hmm. Me too. And seeing you are from Sunbury, I have a fair idea from where.

    Loctite Hysol 615

Where did you get yours from? Wouldn't worry about shelf life. Got some myself. Must be nearly 20 years old. Still works really well.

Teck-2 scan tool cannot find SRS fault code on a 03 Manual V6 ute,

Are you sure you are using it right? Just saying. This is showing the VT, but yours should show your model.

    Boot Struts (VX)

    Mine's self lifting.......I lift it myself :)
  19. Nut Kracker

    Boot Struts (VX)

From what i can remember, The struts for the boot's that have the spoiler fitted, are stronger than the standard ones. They may provide a little more lift, but not to the extent of them lifting the boot the whole way up. It may be a case of having to have them made specifically for your application.

VU tailgate badge pins don't match tailgate holes?

Or you could use a file to shape it to fit the hole.

Yes. It should be on the side of the air box. See attached pdf below.

    VT Commodore Workshop CD Download

The Holden factory service manual I have on my PC and USB drives, is 1.12 GB in size. What particular file do you need. If it's just a particular part of the manual you need, I can try and email it to you (depending on it's size), if you PM me your email address.

    60 amp fuse keeps blowing

Well, seeing everything after the main 60 amp fuse is protected with fusible links and smaller fuses that would blow first if anything was wrong. I'd suggest it could be the ignition switch that is causing it to blow.

    VZ hazard relay type

Been having a bit of a search on this problem and it seems quite common with the VZ models. You'll probably find that the relay hasn't got any contacts and is not wired. From what I have researched on this topic, is that the hazard relay is in the BCM and is probably faulty and will either be in...

No indicators or hazard switch indicating

The VZ models have a hazards fuse number F7 (as opposed to the turn signal fuse F12). Maybe that has blown. I can't see a hazard relay in the wiring diagram.

Air con issue, only coming out of demister

As accentstencil said above. A loss of vacuum to the controls, will automatically default the air flow to the windscreen demister.

    OBD II Connection

All I did. was to tap into the 5 and 6 wires at the back of the OBD socket and run a couple of wires to a switch. Simples...... No need for plugs or paper clips.

    Windows popping door locks open

Well that's a new one. Will the window wind right down? If so, whats it like when it's wound back up? I assume there is some kind of resistance, when it pops the lock? Maybe the window carriage is out of alignment and is hitting the connecting rod from the door handle to the lock assembly...

    Headlights

I had a similar problem (no body damage involved though). Lights were all over the place....dim, dull, foggies coming on etc. Turned out one of the fuses was cactus. Can't remember which one though. I replaced the fuse and all was good.

    Adding foot well LED

Should be the same colours. Just tap into the drivers side lights and run the wires to the passengers side. It is possible to run a wire behind the centre console, under the dash. All you need to do is to use a piece of stiff wire, like a coat hanger, Carefully push it through from one side to...

    Adding foot well LED

Assuming you have the VX Executive, they should be Yellow/blue Negative and orange/black Positive. When you take the covers off, you should be able to see the wires going to the ignition lamp.

    IAC hissing

I'd say it's a combination of the maf and the pod filter being in such close proximity to each other and to the T/B. Pod filters are notorious for that sucking noise. Options I'd consider, is to have a mafless tune done. Or try and lengthen the intake ducting. But buy the looks of it, there's...

Fuel hose with black clip came out at back of manifold

It's the charcoal canister, vapour purge hose. It connects to the purge solenoid, then to the T/B. It's only under a bit of vacuum pressure. Just push the hard plastic hose into the rubber hose as far as it'll go. Don't use glue, in case you have to replace the hoses at some stage.
