Manually inserting the key works but the buttons do not. A local key repair man diagnosed the battery cradle inside the key being loose and he re-soldered the contact points and checked that it's sending out a signal (433Mhz I think he said), but pressing the buttons near the car has no effect...

I noticed on a recent ad for the VF they mention that they test a VF Commodore to 2,000,000 km. I can tell you from my experience with Taxi's that the VE engine only lasts to approx 550k and the gearbox needs replacing approaching 400k. I wish they would publicise this rather than claiming...

I don't think the plastic shroud has moved up at all. They are both basically horizontal to the windscreen but the passenger wiper sits about 5cm lower than the driver's side one.
