    VY Clubsport Extractors

I have the 285 Headers, pulled them off a wreck at a local yard here - had 285 badges and the owners book said Series 2.

    VY Clubsport Extractors

Hi Guys. Just wondering if anyone has managed to bolt up a set of VY Clubsport Extractors, using the standard LS1 (VY SS UTE) cats? I have done my best to measure the standard cast manifolds, against the Clubby Extractors & it seems as though they are the same length. Can anyone shed...

    Check Engine light

Try the fuel pump relay? Swap it like you had done with the starter & high-beam relays... I would also suggest that the fuel pump be removed. There may have been a mistake on installation/missing o-rings. The latter will cause pressure bleeds which will take numerous cranks to fire the engine...

"bore" VE SS rims to fit VY.

It's pretty easy. You'd have to be trying to stuff up, that's for sure. There seems to be alot of confusion about which wheel nuts are suitable & for the better part 'safer'. The VT-VZ standard wheel nuts will do the trick just fine. The taper sits perfectly against that of the VE Wheels...

    SS PCM Relocation (WHERE)

I done this recently too. There's not much to it really. It's pretty well common sense. I would recommend looking into buying a LS1 PCM Relocation Mount, made by a business called Spec2d (they do Coil Relocation Kits too). Email him directly and you'll get that bracket heaps cheaper :) I'm...

Ls1 low voltage on coil packs 2-4-6-8

I've had a similar problem on my ute. Trace the loom and start picking apart the conduit. On the bend going past the intake manifold was where the heat had affected the wiring to the D/S bank of coils and the wiring was starting to break.

    VY SS Seats - Sagging?

VY CALAIS auto headlights staying on

There is a tiny little screw in the door switch, which is the earth for these triggering circuits. Remove the screw, give it a clean up with emery paper or sand paper, if you have nothing else. If cleaning doesn't work, head down to the local hardware and pickup another...stainless will...

    VY ute fuel pump

Theoretically it should all be the same... If you can access the fuel pump on the sedan, give your local dealer a call and see if they can cross reference the part numbers that are stamped into most genuine Holden parts...they should be able to give you an idea at least anyhow.

    P0102 code triggered

Have the same issue mate. My car doesn't get used alot and I find the issue goes away with a fresh tank of fuel. So I put it down to that. The scan tool will 'poll' various sensors within the car and if it doesn't get a reply from one it will log a fault. So technically, the scan tool you're...

    VY SS Seats - Sagging?

Hi Guys/Girls. This topic has probably been flogged by now, given that these cars are 12-13 years old. I did try to search but didn't come across anything that was a fix indefinitely. The side of my drivers seat has been steadily flattening out over the past 6 months. I'd say the previous...

    [LS1] Rocker Cover Installation

Champion! That is the kind of reply I was after! I will more then likely have a couple of questions, but i'll start with this one: Given that the PCV is 'in-line' I thought it was just a case of bolting the rocker covers up and going from there? Definitely will be moving the coils. I ended up...

    [LS1] Rocker Cover Installation

Hi Guys. I recently purchased a set of these Rocker Covers through VPW.COM.AU I was just wondering how I go about routing the PCV/Breather Hoses from the factory rocker covers as this set doesn't have provisions for those breather hoses. I've already relocated my coils and have a...

    PCM help/ mail order tune

As above. The PCM is located underneath the Coolant Expansion bottle in a plastic housing beside a heat shield (which protects it from the exhaust heat). As far as mail order tunes go, they're hit and miss. Whilst it is more expensive - a dyno tune is the best way to go. It will also allow the...

    [LS1] Fuel Rail Kits

Hi Guys/Girls. Just started looking into the billet fuel rail kits that are out there for the LS engines. Have found a couple that I am interested in, but thought I would ask around and find out what the more popular options are. I am looking for a no nonsense, plug and play kit with no...

    Fuel pressure regulators

Better off saving the coin and putting it towards those billet fuel rails that Aeroflow make.... Fuel pumps pick up the slack in performance applications, so adjustable regulators are pretty much a thing of the past.

question in regards to my vy v6 air box

My guess would be because it's LPG? If so, you can buy modified boxes with a butterfly/flap in them that open with excess pressure.

    Air shocks from my VY2

Pretty sure the bottom mounts are different mate. The ones on the VY are, as a rough guess, at a 45 degree angle to their mounting point, whereas the VS sits in a perfect linear direction. The bottom mounts cannot be changed as far as I know, as they are welded.

    Vy intake manifold gasket kit

I've done heaps of these and find that rubber grease in your best friend when it comes to lubing seals and o-rings, especially the heater pipe o-rings which are notorious for curling up on the fittings and causing a leak. Tyre Sizing

G'day Guys. I tried a massive search on this one, but didn't really come across a clear and definitive answer. Basically - Last week I picked up a set of VE SSV Wheels with 245/40/19 tyres. I machined the centre bores out today to suit pre-VE hubs (in this case mine is a VY SS Ute) and...

Curly One for you EFI Specialists :)

Awesome. So the common mistake people make when replacing a TPS is not setting it all together. The TPS uses a switched signal at both idle and 76% throttle (which the ECU safeguards as 100% throttle). I have seen these cause all sorts of weird issues when they've been replaced without...
