While on youtube looking at how to remove the facia for a VX which was actually about fitting a FP8018 entertaiment system. Does anyone know what the system is from because I'd love one and maybe it's even from a Commodore because its a perfect fit.

Have you looked at having them chromed, now that would also look sweet.

Why not at the very least, take the old girl to a Radiator/cooling specialiost and get a quote. Best to replace the radiator and cap, fans, water pump all the hoses and the heater value and also the coolant.

An easy fix, how old are the pulleys, the tensioner and the belt. All are very imnexpensive so why not just replace with new units, the engine will thank you.

Got out the 150mm calipers this arvo and the centre hole is 69.5mm which leaves about 1mm or less to remove. We are going to grind them out with an air grinder tonight using a carbide cutting bit, easy peasy Japanesey. Probably only needs the thickness of a bee's foreskin removed.

Ours had the same issue with the big nut that fastened the lighter to the housing, it has come unscrewed. We to decided not to dismantle the trim so another lighter socket was installed in the boot and when charging say the TomTom we just run a long cord through the rear seat into the front.

Is the battery, how long was the engine out and how many is does the new engine have. I'd been considering doing the same when our baby reaches the 300,000 mark.

My VX has a stainless steel full length exhaust system and not fitted by myself and now the exhaust tip is rusted out and need replacing. Without a welder what other methods are there of mounting the tip, how about a couple of hex headed metal screws.
