    Vy Maloo cluster issues

Before I go further, have you checked the earth behind the battery on the inside of the guard? That's where the cluster earths, its a pain to access but start there if you haven't already. But sounds something is switched around there, has it alwasys done this or is this something which was...

    F150 tow rig

Lol, I'll point out the owner of the trailer and paddock are different mates too. Anyway good to see that everyones agreeing that the HT is likely the way to go rather than conflicting opinions. Will go see the tyre shop when I get some time and get it happening.

See its not my trailer nor my paddock haha. I do like the separate rears idea, but can also not see myself being bothered changing wheels to suit the weather either haha.

    Relay tester

@Fu Manchu could you please confirm yours works with your 92092444 relays? I bought one specifically to test those and it doesn't seem to do anything, works as expected with the smaller IN 0511 relay but with both the 444's its just solid red unless you're holding down the test button in which...

    F150 tow rig

Highway terrains are my general thought too, but the trailer I currently use is stored in a often wet paddock on the side of a hill, and these sort of similar situations where I'm trying to manauver around on less than perfect surfaces (often whilst towing) makes me think maybe AT's. Generally...

These showed up today American Racing AR62 16x8 0, bloody cheap for a full set of wheels so couldn't resist. Now to decide what tyres to go with highway terrains or all terrains. But will be on the ute sometime soon.

JC Political Thread - For All Things Political Part 2

When I was at uni the split for engineering was 99% blokes 1% females. Nothing stopping them but most women I know aren't/wouldn't be interested in my line of work and visa versa with my thougts on their chosen industries. Nothing wrong with that, but the whole quota nonsense is just rubbish as...

Ended up bridge the coolant hose which had run through the factory heat exchanger, due to it being suggested to me to keep the fluid flowing as RB's can be fussy with this. No photos of this as seen above gettign photos of this kind of work is nearly improssible. Did manage to finish all the...

Holden Prices, are they too high?

Yep, mine VZ is at 229 currently, although its still my daily. No way I'd be paying 36k for a VZ SS, before I bought my Maloo I was specifically looking for a VZ 6L and even then (2017) people were wanting the same money for 6L's as I got my Maloo for. For 36k you should be able to find a...

    F150 tow rig

So I mounted a little Australian flag to the back of this and took this down to the Hastings car meet on Australia day, amazingly the little flag stayed on for the whole 90 minute round trip. Amazingly got a parking spot on main street too (not easy) so actually got a couple of photos snapped of...

    The Random Thread

So story time, Yesterday my mate bought a 'new' GQ patrol, whilst testing its features last night whilst on the way to the Tooradin Tractor pull, he hits the button for the electric arerial and to the surprise of all 6 of us (7 seater) it works. Works so well it fact it pushes the aerial all the...

    CV8Z Head Unit Change

Similarly, I have one USB plugged into mine full time which resides in the glovebox with a couple of thousand songs which is my normal go to. But my second USB port has a 1m USB which comes out in the centre console, and is my android auto plug for when I need it. Came out looking fairly factory...

So this is taking way longer than I'd hoped but getting a little bit done when I get the time. Removing the gasket off the side of the block was a royal pain, done with brake cleaner and a razor blade on my back at arms reach. 45 minutes later the surface was clean and could put the new oil...

VX Wagon not talking to Tech 2

How far do you get before it cracks the sads? Like are you able to get into fault clearing before it does or does it not even let you get that far? As silly as it sounds have you tried removing and reinstalling the cartridge too?

I do similar just on my Instagram story with just general cool cars I see out and about, or what interesting stuff comes in to work here and there. The amount of people that get a kick out of the weird stuff I come across is actually quite surprising. Easiest way is surely to whack em on Imgur...

Made up the return line from the cooler to the filter the next day but forgot to grab a photo. Then went about removing the factory oil filter block, this turned out to be way more of a saga than I'd hoped. With its location under the intake manifold and the general lack of access from both...

I think he was referring to the front bumpers with an exec front, so yeah a Calais or SS/SV6 bumper is interchangeable.

    Vz Ute suspension

So the suspension itself is the same except for the shock mounting between the two, but that's irrelevant if you're just talking about springs. Best way to find out is to check the part number on the springs and compare that to the Kings catalogue. as also what happens is people actually have no...

Started plumbing my oil cooler today, I had a Taarks filter mount, but wanted to mount the filter above the rail on the Drivers side near where the cooler piping passes through. What did you do in the shed or garage today

Cleaned my bench for the first time in probably 2 years, took far longer than it should have. Also added more sound foam around my compressor, not sure how welll it works but it was cheap and hopefully dulls the sound a little from the compressor. Need to get some more though so I can do the...

Wanted one of these for a while and finally treated myself to one with the boxing day sales today. Also grabbed these 1/2" hext sockets as I needed to remove an 11mm hex bung in an oil block and of course I had no 11mm's in the 40 odd bloody allen keys I have here.

Its coil springs in the front, which can be shifted to suit, but if I can run it at the 20mm higher with the airbags like I intended on originally it should be more practical which is the aim.

So, small updates. A week before the end of the working year I decided I should finally get round to lowering/levelling out the rear of this. Did some measurements and worked out it needed an 85mm drop to in the rear to bring it level with the front. Should still give me reasonable bump stop...
