Yep - the Senator 5000i didn't have the 268 cam like the VN SV 5000 did. But I have had it dyno in Std form when I brought the car many years ago. The red 200kw motor pulled 178 RWHP at a different place.

I've had it Dyno at Chiptorqued when I had the memcal re-programmed to suit the mods. The original 9-1 ratio flat top pistons , heads ported, & crane 276 cam result in 207.9 RWHP . I was told it was the best result they had for a 5 litre with auto transmission. - not sure how many RWKW it is...

Yes, I mite change the engine covers back to the original Red colour. At least the OTR I brought hides the radiator shroud, my SV air box got nicked at a auto paint shop. Does any one know what the original engine covers colour name for the Vp senator 5000i is ? - it's sort of a Red maroon colour

Occasionally drive it just to keep it in good working order - once every couple of month's - I have a newer HSV now to drive

G'day The Crane 276 cam is a step up from the 268 cam used on the VN SV 5000 model. The 276 is still a mild cam but gives the exhaust a nice loud aggressive note. :spot on:
