Hi everyone. I cannot feel any fresh air coming into the car via the vents. I always have the car in fresh mode. The only time I use recirculate is with aircon. I though maybe the cabin filter was blocked. had a look, no cabin filter just a mesh vent cover. so no blockage there...

So far (touch wood) haven't had issues with my ss. I don't drive it much on weekends (its my daily drive) and its left for 2-3 days over weekend. No issues at the moment.....

I am in my forties now and have watched a lot of the V8's over the years. Have grown up with Holdens all around me and have also grown up "A Big Brocky Fan" and as much as things have changed over the last few years, I've gotta say that the television coverage we've seen since the late 80's...

The letter "E" or Ethanol scares me. Heard numerous stories of engine damage. I'm gunna stick to 98 fuel for the VE. Our 2011 Cruze is ethanol friendly but not going to take the risk.

Thanks for the info. I will monitor your posts. I've only had the car 5 months and this is my first injected V8 so its all new. If the bump or miss is a characteristic of these engines then I'm happy to accept it. The car goes like a rocket otherwise and I'm happy with the fuel consumption...

Replaced leaking overflow/coolant bottle on the SS. Started about 8pm and finished at 10pm. There was a cupla beer breaks during the job. Now I having a few more. :beer chug:

Just an update. I've rung two places at this stage. One is a dedicated tow bar place, quoted $500 which includes standard towbar fitted with ball and wiring etc. The other was Pedders. For the same deal they quoted $720. Interesting....

Hi there. I had a V8 VL several years ago and some of what you've mentioned rings a bell. Now I'm racking my brain (its some 15 plus years ago) but I found that my VL had mechanical fuel pump and also electric. Don't know if this was standard across the board, but I did not have a relay...

G'day Matt. Only plans for the car is a tow bar at this stage. Apart from that I'm happy to leave it as it is and just enjoy and look after it.
