Everything looks OK to my untrained eye. I've attached a few pics to see if anyone can see something that looks out of place. Note the new steering rack boot & tie rod which was installed as part of the original visit to the tyre place.

I can fit 3 fat fingers on the drivers side & 4 on the passenger side. To clarify, when you say left do you mean the driver or passenger side?

Once the thermostat opens, I undo the radiator bleed screw & get only running coolant now (after getting air the first few times). Doesn't this mean there's no more air in the system?

Thanks, I've removed and checked the tap under a tap(!) & it works fine. I replaced it & noticed the bottom radiator hose had a slight leak. I've reseated the hose & moved the clamp & now there's no leak.

Valve was on OK but while i was checking it I realised the heater tap valve looks like it should be replaced so thanks for making me check!

Sorted. There were 2 problems. 1. Vacuum hose in inlet manifold not connected 2. Vacuum supply hose not connected to vent selector dial. I used the info in this link to help trace the hoses. Here are the images from the link in case the link dies.

I'm looking to use the ELM with Torque/Android for both my VX & VZ. I don't need/want to tune or modify parameters, I just want to read codes & other available diagnostic data. Is the ELM suitable or will it not work at all for either car?
