Bilstein B8's on King Ultra Lows? Advice please!

Dropped the car off this morning at Suspension shop. A good 45 minute drive. By the time I got out of the car at the other end, I could feel myself at boiling point given extremely poor quality ride, crashes and bangs that was coming out of the front end! The car was squeeking loudly right...

Bilstein B8's on King Ultra Lows? Advice please!

Running 245/35 tyres. Yeah think I'm definitely going back to rubber if this is what is causing it! Still doesn't explain the height issue!

Bilstein B8's on King Ultra Lows? Advice please!

I'm going to have to disagree with you man. I was take for a spin in GM motorsports GMM350 (VF clubsport). Had their coilover package installed which I believe we're made by shockworks. It drove very nice. Sporty yes. harsh, loud and banging...no. Was actually quite comfortable when driven...

Bilstein B8's on King Ultra Lows? Advice please!

Super pissed off...! Have encountered a bit of an issue with my recent purchase of a set of springs. Previously HTG measurements were as follows. 20 inch wheels from factory: Front: 370mm Rear: 350mm I sought plenty of advice from Suspension specialist and King Springs themselves regarding...

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

mitchy_ - Senator looks the tits! I really did want to go the 11" rear but I didn't want stretched tyres more! I also didn't want scrubbing issues! What tyres are you running and is your car bagged?

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

Here is another attempt yet again to make the picture work...let me know... 20 x 10 is not deep concave man...only 'Concave'. 10.5" and 11" are deep concave! I've got the 10" rear, had the guards skimmed and they haven't scrubbed once!

The VE Commodore Wheel Fitment Guide**UNDER CONSTRUCTION**

Just wanted to add my fitment to assist with the info... Koya SF06 Front: 20 x 9 +35 running 245/35 Rear: 20 x 10 +45 running 275/30 Had the rear guards "ground / trimmed" instead of rolled as I didn't want to risk damaging paint (as this is common on wagons). This does not give as much...

Go the SF06 man! Got mine within a week! Front: 20 x 9 +35 running 245/35 Rear: 20 x 10 +45 running 275/30. Had the rear guards "ground / trimmed" instead of rolled as I didn't want to risk damaging paint (as this is common on wagons). Has not scrubbed once and I've purposely hit some big...

Thanks man. Got mine today. Had the guards trimmed on the inside. Have only drove it once and don't think they rubbed yet but look very close! I got +45 on the rear. Do you think you could have gone +48 and still clear rear brembos? Essentially anther 3mm closer? Have you ever had the front...

Bilstein B8's on King Ultra Lows? Advice please!

Hey guys, Car:2012 VE SS V Wagon. 20" wheels In the process of fitting new wheels and suspension. I am trying to achieve that semi aggressive / stanced / low look however I am a firm believer in doing things right the first time and I will compromise on not going to extremes in lieu of...

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

Mate I would speak to Stylish wheels. They have fitted countless sets of those rims on HSV's and I spoke with him at length and he tells me +43 is the go for 'Deep Concave'. Its a balancing act between clearing both the hub and brake caliper.
  21. ruredi

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

Hey man. Not sure if you realise but from my understanding +45 will give you 2mm LESS clearance on brakes than +43. higher offset brings the wheel inwards i.e - closer to the brake caliper.

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

Started to have doubts that the 'Super Lows' were not going to be low enough. Car currently has Pedders Sportsryder 'Low' springs in it on standard shocks. Much to my suprise, the car is already sitting at 'Ultra Low' height in the rear being 350mm from center hub to guard lip! The front is...

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

Haha...Literally made my final decision based on that exact car! Went +3 more offset on the rear like he said he would have done had he of had the time again! Looks sick. I'm just worried my wagon won't be low enough with the super lows.

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

See page 4! Front: 20 x 9.5 +30 running 245/35 Rear: 20 x 11 +43 running 275/30 OR 20x10 +30 with 255/35 20x11 +43 with 275/30 Will clear your HSV AP's! But you will be running stretched tyres which you probably already knew. +43 is the magic number for the 20 x 11 rear Koya Rim.
  26. ruredi

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

Because a +50 would not clear Rear Brembo brakes due to being a concave rim. +45 will clear with a few mm to spare and is about 3-5mm from clearing the guard so a very fine line.

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

So after much deliberation and a bit more research I opted for the Koya SF06 - Silver Machined Finish. Front: 20 x 9 +35 (Standard) - 245/35 Pirelli P1 Rear: 20 x 10 +45 (Concave) - 275/30 Pirelli P1 I am assured BY 'KOYA' that the rear will clear Brembos. Gavin from Low Down Guard Rolling...

G'day mate, I was already considering these rims together with the Koya SF04 for my VE but you've completely sold me on the SF06. Especially because they have cleared rear Brembos (which I want to fit but have been limited due to wheel options). Your car looks ACE. Will be buying these week...

    VF Diffuser on VE?

Hey guys, Just wondering if the VF Wagon Diffuser is a straight swap for the Diffuser on my MY12.5 VEII SSV Z Wagon? If so, Does anyone know the part number and cost? Are there are any differences between towbar or no towbar? Joey.

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

Thanks for all the advice guys. In the end, I've decided to go with the TSW Bathurst in Silver. Front: 20 x 9 +35 - 245/35 Pirelli Cinturato P1 Rear: 20 x 10 +35 - 275/30 Nitto Invo XL In the end they ticked all the boxes. Silver, Staggered fitment, pretty flush, rear has a nice concave...

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

Koya have just back to tell me that the 20 x 10" Rear +35 Deep Concave WON'T clear REAR Brembos. I suppose that is the case for your friend. 9.5 +35 (Concave) will clear front brembos and 20 x 11 +43 Deep Concave will clear Rear brembos. Going to have to go the 11" with the stretched tyre. Will...

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

I would be going a 9.5" Front +35 (Concave) so don't think I will have issues with clearing the brembos on the front like your friends 10" +35 Deep Concave. I don't actually have Brembos on the back just yet but I do plan to add them later. I'm informed that the calipers on the SSVR rear are...
  37. ruredi

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

If the 11" Rear is going to be too much then I'm just going to have to go with 20 x 9.5" (Concave) +35 front running 245/35 20x 10 (Deep Concave) +35 running 275/30. I only wanted the 11" rear because you get more concave when comparing to a 10". At least with a 10", the tyres are not stretched.
  38. ruredi

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

The Koya are completely custom offsets? The 20 x 11 or 20 x 10.5 inch rear I'm looking at are +43 offset? The 275 tyre is stretched (slightly) I admit though.
  39. ruredi

    Wheel sizing / offset advice?

    The 20 x 9.5 +35 will be 6mm closer to the suspension than my current 20 x 8 +48 HSVi Sabres. The 20 x 11 +43 will be 5.1mm closer to the suspension than a 20 x 9.5 +57 HSV Wheel.
