Hey guys I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around this one.
My flip key is buggered so I've started using the second non flip key as it is way sturdier. Problem is when I use the non flip key my stereo sounds horrible. The factory parcel shelf subs are definitely not playing unless I use...
Im on my 3rd pump after two failed within 6 months (not under any warranty) first time I thought it was just bad luck but when the second went after a few months I knew something was up. A friend is an ex Holden mechanic and knew what it was:
The fuel pump wiring loom is bad and is shorting...
My car is coated with a ceramic coating and it is more work to maintain over a wax or sealant. If you aren't into correct washing and drying procedures then a coating isn't for you. A wax isn't going to last long at all regardless of quality in my experience. I recommend a spray sealant like...
You can email Holden customer care and ask, they're usually pretty helpful. Don't think there is an official list publicly available :/ wish there was though!
don't really believe that because mine doesn't idle properly on cold start. Idles like its got a cam for 30 seconds then idles normally. Im going out to Morpowa to get it retuned later this month
Hey guys need some knowledge here.
I'm currently house sitting a place with a steepish driveway, between 20 and 30 degrees.
Just wondering if starting it cold at that angle would cause any (more) internal wear over starting it on a level surface? or if I should park facing up or down the hill...
My Navigation doesn't even work! I think the SD card has come loose or something. It worked when I bought the car but now its says not installed, that Holden quality!
wow a vx with rust, never seen that before.
The holes in the roof and above the door would be expensive to fix. You could try removing all the bog and then filling it yourself then painting over it but it would stand out. do they go all the way through? I wouldnt be surprised if it was 1000...
Hey mate
Seems a bit on the high side for such an early model. I found a couple later SSVs for around the same price with maybe a tad higher Ks:

If you want it black then paint it black! its your car! Im guessing you bought it to enjoy it so what does future value mean? My bet is if you don't change the colour you will regret it since you don't like the red as much. Wraps are expensive but they can do an amazing job these days, plus it...
there is no such thing as a v6 exhaust that doesn't drone, or maybe its the car crying because they put an exhaust on it.
Regardless good write up, hopefully people will find this in the future rather than asking for the 100,000,000,000 time
could be a dodgy spark plug, injectors, leads, coil pack, fuel filter. Checking your spark plugs would be the easiest thing to start on, if one is bad then it will misfire
I read somewhere about some older VF SSV's that had been kept from sale by someone who wanted to sell them later when the prices went up. So they only had like 20km on them at most. The person decided to sell them but they had been sitting since the VFs were released. Long story short they had...
I bet Holden would love to go back in time 10+ years and tell themselves to treat their customers better. I guess now they are just realizing when someone spends $50,000 on one of your products you have to stand by it and keep the customer happy. Not just take the money and run while your staff...
