    I'd say they only mention SSV and Calais is because of the projector headlight. But I've got an SV6, with SSV headlights. Straight swap out, same plugs.

    Checked the oil? If it looks like ice coffee,coolant and oil are mixing because of a blown head gasket.

    I was of the understanding that the only difference between the LLT and LFX intake was that the LFX was composite and there for lighter than the LLT intake. It's all personal choice but I'd rather the LLT intake for asthetics rather than the LFX honeycomb.

    The alloytec engines in the last of the VZ and first VE were notorious for stretched timing chains. If the later SIDI LLT or LFX engines had had to have chains replaced, it's usually because of poor maintenance or and absolute hammering or both.

    there should be a relay that you hear click and the fan turn on at idle when the air con is on. Check that that is happening. If not, it could be as simple as a blown relay.

    I had it. Was the exhaust bouncing on the centre cross member. The exhaust rubber mounts had stretched over time so it was moving a lot I just put some washers where the cross member bolts to the chassis. Just dropped it by 5mm, so the exhaust didn't touch it anymore.

    lets just say the car weighs 000kg, you've only got to hold 500kg each corner. I've got 2 sets of 1500kg. so holds up 750kg each corner.....good safety net.

    not quite in my opinion. the car weighs 1800kg (near enough) you'd need 2 sets of the 1200kg stands to hold the whole car up.

    If it says STD suspension...its just the same as the Omega, Berlina etc. Its not FE2 And for your LSD tag, there is a sticker on the bottom side of the diff (well it should be). It will say the ratio also, which I think will be 2.92. It will say LSD Y or N

    I'm the same. I use CarScanner, but the same PID' s you've mentioned, and nothing. But on a scan tool, I can see the ATT, so it's there, just can't be read for some reason.

    Mine does it too sometimes. I think it's when it's a dry window and there's not enough power in the motor to drag it all the way down again.

    Then if it’s a 2009, it must be a late 2009 and would be the new SIDI engine. In which case you don’t have to take anything off. The coil packs are all visible and easily removed. Just unclip the electrical socket on each, and unbolt it.

    no mate. I had single zone. Now I have dual. Was completely plug and play, just had to get the console VIN programmed. It all works, dual zone, auto climate control. Only thing that doesn't work is the outside temp. But anyway - good luck with yours.

    Not sure man. Once I got my dash apart, I swapped out the HVAC and the centre console in about 10 mins. Put it all back together and it all worked. I went from S1 SV6 to S1 SSV. I’ve seen other early S1 Omegas upgrade to the Series 2 IQ with no issues either.

    I've seen those little suction pumps that are on eBay where you stick a tube down the dipstick and suck out the oil.....is ridiculous. (in my opinion) Just do it the traditional way.
