Coming from a VF1 with a VCM OTR to a VF2 with MSE, I kind of prefer the straight VCM induction sound. It's grunty without being overpowering.

Cool thanks for that. I notice there's the sound enhancer which will leave a hole in the firewall. What would be the impact if that hole was just left open? What would be a good method for blocking it off?

From what I've read, the 50,000 miles would be for the side mounted filters that sit under the bonnet and aren't exposed directly to incoming air through the grille like the OTR model.

Yes there's a similar shaped hose connected to the old air box which you'll have to remove in order to get the air box out, so it shouldn't be hard to miss. The new intake has the hole in a different location which necessitates the new molded tube.
