wont cause you any issues, AFM ones are just more restrictive, whereas non AFMs are less restrictive and will give you a slightly louder sound, both will bolt up and work fine no worries though

sedans and wagons share the same exhaust, utes do not, they have different mounting points and I believe also the tips are longer. so sedans and wagons can be interchanged, between VE and VF no worries. just not utes

yep that should fit, sedan and wagons exhausts are the same, the utes different with hanging points and tips are a bit longer from memory. AFM stands for active fuel management, was a feature on the V8's after 2010ish?, that would disable half the cylinders for better fuel economy, basically...

perhaps your fuel filter is a bit clogged up with crap? annoyingly you have to change the whole fuel pump assembly on the VE's. I think they're meant to be changed every 100 000km's or so.

Yeh it's 6.7L for the v6's, sounds like a lot I know. As for filling it you've got it spot on, drain, take old filter out, oil up the seal on the new one before you put it in, then fill it up through the filler cap. I've never had a problem with ryco filters, never heard of that issue before.

see if you can stretch and get an MY10 Series I. they have the Series II SIDI engine, but can sometimes be found for not much more than a normal series I. there are some 2009's that were MY10's. so see if you can find one of those.
