    Tensioner chirp?

Hey all, it's been awhile. Staying offline has helped me to keep the car stock, although I did look up some part numbers on here for pads for the silly 345mm brake upgrade (went for Hawk ceramic and DBA t3) Anyways, I'm getting some chirping from the top tensioner. Should I let Holden repair...

Wet Carpet/AC leak? decent dealership recommendation or DIY?

Hi all, I have found moist carpet under my wife's legs, and recently I've even found moisture in the rear. I've read that the connection for my drain tube can be a bit iffy and that now there are rubber parts which can prevent future accidents. Its under warranty, but when things aren't too...

I haven't had any issues with mylink, I don't use the touchscreen much, I prefer to navigate with the tune knob\button

    Transport for VF SS Commodore

I would drive it home. A few stone chips won't affect its value too much. I've bought two cars interstate and find it a good excuse to disappear for a few days Bad experience here with Patricks here too.

VFII LS3 engine oil from factory?

Look into 0w40 Mobil 1, it has higher zinc than the penrite. It's pricey but if you buy it in 20l tubs it's not too bad. I use it in the commode and volvo

Name you have given your Commodore (besides "THE CAR")?

I keep calling it the truck, the same name to all the vehicles I've used for work.

    Down Sizing Wheels

It’s not just unsprung mass but mostly rotational mass which makes the big difference in accelerating and braking

Pumped in $120 worth of PULP tonight, and didn't (and will never) give a toss about it again.

Depends on which part of Australia and how old you were through the last two property booms?

    Brake upgrade for SS

I have the police brakes too, and I agree they stop really well in my usage. I’m only keen for brembos for the improved look, as time passes it’s becoming less and less important.

In car access to VF Engineering Mode

I generally use the tune knob to select stuff instead of touching the screen, I find it easier while driving. I often listen to my USB music on random but if I want the next track on the album it’s very simple to find using the tune knob

    Personalised plates

For me personalised plates stopped being cool when I saw "HIACE" on an effing van, then I realised just how many cars had these superfluous model names and numbers on their number plates. Each to their own and all that but far out most of the plates you see are just plain unimaginative and a...

Oil Grade preferences for your LS3

Exactly, Dexos isn't some "super" oil. It is 1 part GM protecting their warranty liability by enforcing synthetic oil, and 9 parts a good money grab from oil companies. All the car manufacturers are joining in. My 9 year old Volvo manual just says it must have synthetic oil, but there is no...
