    VX ECU won't work with T5 hall effect VSS. Never had the componentry installed onto PCB from factory. The flywheel's are different(dual mass vs solid). T5 is longer.

    If you stick with the standard ECU and get a mafless tune then all the EGR code in the software is removed and the EGR valve goes over your right shoulder.

    Have seen a couple of manual Ecotec's making decent horsepower and higher than standard revs rattle/stretch the factory bolts. I used ARP studs from the catalogue for my engine, i was too lazy to drill them out to M10. Haven't come loose yet though.

    Usually you would use a wire disconnect tool to push the metal tang back and slide pin out similtaneously. Possible could use a pin ? might be too thin though. Buyer beware. push in through front of connector. Hope i have made sense.

    Buy a cheap obd2 scanner of ebay. May or may not have the correct codes for your vehicle. Failing that, take it to your local mech. Don't believe there is a flash code system in the newer commodores.

    After battery is disconnected Fuel economy will change on the Mass air flow based vehicles until the barometric pressure/pseudo map term is learnt. With MAP based vehicles this is instantaneous when ignition is turned "on".
