Holden SS Commodore 355ci Stroker *RVN 355 *

Not twisting any words post is un edited naturaly you would try in second and if it looses traction you move up a gear so that there is no wheel spin on the dyno. obviously you cant prove anything to anyone so I am done in regards to dyno as everyone seems to be a guru at dyno tuning.lmao...

So you should Never said smoked the rollers I said smoked the tyres on the rollers.(no traction)You obviously know nothing about dyno.(yet again) you are obviously a complete tool so leaving this thread would be the best thing for you as you just keep showing everyone how much of a wanker...

Holden SS Commodore 355ci Stroker *RVN 355 *

APS has a few air con units in their dyno cell(in your home state) Never said you cant do it in second if you have traction(not much torque) Brads just smoked up on the rollers in second. I also never mentioned anyone elses incompetence but yours Nobady said you shouldnt be happy with...

Holden SS Commodore 355ci Stroker *RVN 355 *

You are missing the point without the air con.the temps in the dyno cell are about 20degrees higher than outside temps, air con just gets the temps to roughly about what you would see driving on the road.pleas dont make statements about dyno tunning when you obviously have no idea.(would have...

they are a bull... workshop because they have air conditioner in the dyno cell??? Mate think about what you'r saying. have you ever been in a dyno cell that is properly air conditioned and doing a full remap.let me tell you it gets very hot in there even on a mild cool day.So not having it air...

Holden SS Commodore 355ci Stroker *RVN 355 *

AT probe is on the wall of dyno cell and IT probe is next to the engine air intake ,BDT has an airconditioning unit blowing directly into the engine bay creating slightly cooler temp. Also which part of the curve do you refer to as all over the place? To me it looks like a normal power curve...

    Cold Air Intake

    adjusting what ?
  12. RS 2000

    not as much induction noise

the air mass meter irons out a lot of the intake noise and the iac passage is slightly re designed on ecotecs to be a bit less hissy

Cold Air Induction And Pod Vs Panel Filters

anyone tried any of this on a dyno??any figures?
  15. RS 2000

A K&N panel filter is this better than an air pod

has any one got any dyno figures to prove or disprove the theories with panel vs pod? as i have dynoed my VX V6 and lifting the standard air box up so it sucks air with no restriction power went up by 1.4kw so to suggest that a knN will not improve power output significantly.so having said...

vt rougth idle on petrol after backfire on gas

check 2 vacuum hoses at bottom of throttle body as they come off when it backfires creating a vac leak and therefore rough running

    A Chip is the go

If someone is stupid enough to have a fiddle and have no idea of what they are doing, so be it.
  18. RS 2000

    A Chip is the go

save up and get unichip, haltech interceptor or similar it is real time tuning for your engine configuration and not trial and error as with most chips.and when you are done with that car you can remove it and install it in you new car with a new tune of course.

    thermostat

If you really want to do the best job, remove the two drain plugs on the block either side underneath exhaust manifolds and your bottom rad. hose ,then remove thermostat housing and thermostat and run a garden hose into the thermostat housing until you get crystal clear water running out of the...
  20. RS 2000

    thermostat

stat should cost you 10-15$and gasket2$ you will lose some coolant when you take the stat housing off you can just top up afterwards.but you probably should have flushed you motor with the thermostat removed as is the only way to properly flush the block. good luck

    vp ticking at low revs

earlier V6 powered cars vn/p are more prone to fuel line pulsation than others .To check if that is the noise ,all you have to do is hold the fuel delivery hose and feel whether the noise is syncronised with the pulse and if it is try a new fuel dampner located underneath the throttle cable bracket.

    VX Exhaust....

has anyone done before and after dyno runs with the exhaust install on a VX V6 And also is there any fuel consumption improvement

RWKW On VN V6 Auto with extractors and exhaust. Anyone Know?

I work in a dyno tuning workshop in adelaide our dyno is a dyno dynamics unit with shootout mode and can say that between other major dyno shops with dyno dynamics dyno's and ours the figures are within 3% as we had same cars on different dyno's pulling same figures, and dyno dynamics dyno's...

    exhaust/extractor buying

Go for the cat back 2.5in and you should gain noticable power over 3000rpm, my Vr V6 gained 10 rwkw 96 to 106 I can post the dyno graph if anyone is interested?

    Cat Converters (A different question!)

yes there are holes there as standard they are there to drain any water that might make it there
  28. RS 2000

VN Series 2 - VR Bellmouth

I have removed bellmouth on my VR V6 did couple of quick power runs (as I work in a dyno tuning workshop)and no extra power anywhere in the rev range so naturaly I put it back where it came from
