I think that Holden did a great thing with the Monaro. It is great driving it around. I only hope they do bring out a Camaro, because I will definately buy one.

I'm replacing my 6 stack as it was damaged, and I am going to be putting a new unit back in. I was told that the code for the stereo comes from the Engine Management. So maybe you will have to re program that ?

I also would like to change my radio and keep the display. At present, I cannot find a system that is compatible. I have tried Alpine, and it is not compatible. There are modulators from Blaupankt, but they are only for the European imports like Astra and Barina, not the Aus cars.

I just had the Holden Bluetooth car kit installed by Holden. There is no mucking around with it, one button operation, radio is muted when activated and as soon as you turn the ignition on it activates the operation of the phone.

I rang around, and found that AAMI gave me the cheapest quote for my Monaro....$1060 a year. Some were quoting $2800 and some just would not insure it !

I possibly could if it was me who caused the damage. But, I think that if it was the fault of another party, then they are responsible. If you take it to Holden, then they will tell you that thy don't sell a radio facia, and a new radio will have to be installed. Sucks.

You are right. Got a quote from Holden....$1880 inc gst without labour. The stereo is $1300 on it's own !

Has anyone had the problem of using the Ambri Pur airfreshner leaking for no apparent reason and permantly staining dash and controls of their car to the point of burning into the plastics ? Also, has anyone got compensation from Ambi Pur for the damage their product has made.
