great write up! can anyone tell me where my VR is leaking from? Every time i open the boot after heavy rain the boot lid is full of water (inside the boot where it meets the rear bumper between the tail lights - sort of where the boot lock is)

ok large R/H tail light in stuffed - other 3 are fine. - $25 for 3 - $10 each section front springs are lowered rears are compressed. _ $50 for complete struts exhaust from just after the diff is stuffed (last muffler is gone) panels - around $25 to $50 each

^^^ also interested in answer ^^^ (MR.38l) i have vt rear seats and they need to be modded to fit in the rear as the hooks and center fold-down sections latch dont line up. have seen VT seats front and rear in a Vn although the rear seat was really bodgey-ed in there. (home trimming job)

it will fit in the boot of your statesman but it may not be as neat-a-fit as the picture shows but it wont be to bad...my mate scored a vt version like that one and it fit pretty good in his vr. Dont forget that its carpeted in the boot and the box is also so it wont be to noticable.

ok cool :) i'll try that. I recon my pads are stuffed anyway but chris (mate who owned vr before me) said the pads are almost new! the pads "meat" is as thick as the backing plate, how this are they new? used to mercedes pads that are almost 22mm thick with backing plate!

how big are the chrome wheels? The bottom wheels aren't VE wheels either they look like BBOSS elenors? or a copy of those wheels, but i think they would looks tops on your car. There's a skyline a tafe with those wheels and its a similar colour to :) Go with the bottom one's :)

hey i have just bought a VR and am just staring to find all the little bits and peices that needs fixing and repairing ect NOW... I have noticed that the front brakes and "sticky" and when i apply brake force and release it seams to stay about 25% active and the piston wont fully retract into...

tiny update... Bought some new seat covers n mats, Fitted a sports steering wheel (yes i know its illegal), filled all the little dents, found a R/H guard and drivers door, fitted a new clear side repeater and gave her a clean - inside and out :) Update pics coming in next couple of days .
